Need to change file ext from RMJ to wav

My daughter made a CD of her songs at a studio. I put it on my computer hard drive and all I had at the time was Real player and the file ext on the songs are RMJ. She wants a copy to give to someone where she works but they are not allowed to put Real Player on the comps are work. They have Windows Media on their computers. How can I change the file ext so they can play on something other than Real.

You can't. Thoes are in Real Player's protected crapy format. You probably would be better off ripping the CDs again into a more supported format like MP3. Which you can do with Winamp, Windows Media Player and other programs like CDEx.

Thats what I was afraid of. I hate Real Player and Real Arcade, etc. They are junk and they load your comp with spy ware that is hard to remove...The problem is that I no longer have the original CD. Just whats on my hard drive. Someone mentioned to me to try www.dbpoweramp.net/codecs/db...MP-codec-ra.exe - he said install the codec and rename all the ,rmj files to .ra choose the convert to option in the contextual menu ..DUH!!!!I didnt have a lot of luck with that I could never locate the "convert to" file. Ever hear of that?

Yeah, dBPowerAmp Music Converter might be able to handle it.

You need this:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
and that:
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1054136293/1

Not sure if it supports RMJ, I think that is a DRM "protected" format.

This is all there is, the e-mail will always say "several". It's worded a little poorly.

Thank you so very much. I will try some of the places you told me about. It would be simpler to go to the studio and get another copy but what would I learn from doing that? I appreciate your help. I will lelt you know if it works....
