Takin' the day off.

Got up this morning and thought to myself... "Damn, I just don't feel like going to work today." I'm sure many of you go through that exact same thing every morning (as do I). So I told myself... "Screw it. The city isn't going to stop if I'm not at work today." This is the first time in a while that I've taken time off from work.

How often do y'all take time off from work just for the hell of it?

In June 2001, I took one and a half years off to enrol in full-time studies.

Problem is, my company didn't offer extended study leaves. So effectively I quitted my job altogether in the hope that I'll somehow get back in.

The position was subsequently "declared redundant" and eliminated.

Never regretted one bit, though. Going back to studies after you've started working is an immensely rewarding experience.

I love that satisfying moment when you officially give up and relax back into your bed

Oh, I'm not going to be at home all day. In fact, I left my house shortly after I was supposed to be at work this morning. Had a couple of things I needed to go and do. And I'll be leaving here again in a few minutes to go take care of some other shtuff, too. But yeah, it's nice to just take a day off.

"Well, got to love you and leave you, need to go get into the shower and rub my hard naked body all over with soapy bubbles, I'll be back later to carry on playing....

It'll take you some time to get over the image of me naked in the shower......mind you don't masturbate to hard thinking about it...."

I take days and weeks off uni all the time. Hell, I've never been to every lecture in a single week, in all the 104 weeks I've been there. Last summer when I was working, my days off were sporadic, and drink related.

At uni I take days off all the time, it's not like anyone else is relying on me.
At my last full time job though, I didn't have a single day off in 3 months, and before that I worked for 2 years with only 3 days off (and 2 of them I really was ill). (not counting holidays of course)

I'll second what Griff says. The job I was in wasn't my ideal job, so I quit to go to Uni, but I guess I will have to go back to working full time once this University lark is over It is worthwhile learning to do something you are good at though

Yeah, so I went to Wally World and took that code to the gift registry machine. I scanned it and waited for it to print the list out... and waited some more. AND some more. And then it started printing. Four long-ass pages of shtuff came out of this machine... Now, what did you say you wanted again? A bug zapper? Right. I asked them if they did shipping, but they don't. So I guess I'll have to find another way. :\ Or maybe I'll just send you some money so you can just go buy a bug zapper for yourself. That work?
