Format of a Playlist URL

Help! I can't figure out how to specify a URL in an M3U playlist. Whataver I do, WinAmp just complains about being unable to resolve the host.

What is the correct format for a URL in a playlist?

I've tried / and \, with a without http:

Thanks,
Rainer

(I can do local files just fine.)

Maybe the following will help...
M3U and PLS Specification

Are you editing the M3U manually? If the address(es) has spaces, have your tried replacing the spaces with %20?

Are you on a firewall? If so, is it set to give Winamp proper access?

Thank you, that did work. Though I could swear I'd tried that format before ...

Now, WHY do MP3 files stream (start playing before download is complete), but MP4 files do not stream (entire file gets downloaded before playing starts)?

MP4/AAC streaming is not currently supported. Please don't ask for a ETA.
