Skin with no slider. How?

Hi everyone.

I just want to edit the winamp classic skin ot the bento so that the seek bar and the volume bar dont have a slider.
I want to be able to fine seek and this is not possible with the normal slider.

I was able to remove the images of the slider (the little box) and now there is only a progress bar but it still has an area of approx 4 mm that acts like a slider and gets in the way. How can i reduce this to one pixel?

I want to do this for both shade mode and main mode

Cant do it for Classic skins.
Can do it for Modern skins.

Or you can just download a skin with a bigger seeker... see signature

ClassicPro© v2.01 : This plugin allows you to use cPro skins in Winamp. ClassicPro skins are all SUI skins and loads very quickly. ClassicPro skins is even easier to skin than Winamp Classic skins. A new layout have been added since version 2.
Download ClassicPro© ==== cPro Skins ==== ClassicPro© Homepage ==== SC Forums

Hi

The size of the slider has nothing to do with the precision of the seeker, since the system only shows the thumb image at the calculated position in the song but doesn't take the info from the thumb (or playhead) to seek into the track. The real criteria to increase the precision of the seeker is the length of the slider. Its useless to remove the thumb image or to replace it with a 1-pixel wide one, you'd better change the w value in the slider definition. In the following example, the width of the slider is 291 pixels, this means you can appreciate 1/291 of the song's duration (about 1s in a 5 minutes track).

<slider id="Seeker" ACTION="Seek" x="48" y="31" w="291" h="9" thumb="playhead" />

Another solution is to have no slider but seek (or volume) buttons which increase / decrease seeking (or volume), but this requires some maki scripts. Frisbeemonkey's site is helpful, perhaps you can find there ready-to-use scripts.
