Power Hour Plugin

In my search for a Winamp Plugin to use in playing power hour I found:
  1. Olivier DETRY's gen_intro
  2. The GMan's Power Hour (@ Winamp's plug-ins page | @ The GMan's site)
Of the two I like the second one the best.
gen_into will only play the first x seconds of a song.
Power Hour is designed for power hour, and has the following features:
  • option of letting the plugin begin each song at the beginning,
at a specific time in the song,
or at a random position within a range you specify
  • shuffle playing through the Playlist in use
  • tells you what time the power hour was started
  • tells you how many songs are left
  • tells you how many songs have been completed
  • tells you the amount of time left in the current song

Thank you The GMan!!!

In my search for a plugin I also stumbled across a few stand alone programs
that integrate with Winamp:
  1. Robert Hutzel's Power Hour
  2. TuckWat's myPowerHour (cost = $10)
Not near your Winamp installation but have access to a computer with internet?
You can play power hour online at http://www.uberhour.com/online

Power Hour Starts On Track 2

Now that I've plugged The GMan's Power Hour, I have a small glitch.

When I click the button "Start Power Hour" (with Shuffle turned OFF)
play begins from the second track in the Playlist.

Expected Behavior: Play begins from the first track in the Playlist.

Can anyone else replicate this issue?

Perhaps you should try a newer version of gen_intro which allows you to set a relative or absolute start point.

Thanks for the tip J_Darnley!

Yeah, v1.3 of gen_intro is a lot more robust than the original.
But Power Hour is still probably the best for the purposes of beer shots every minute.
