Certain jpegs will NOT display as Album Art within Winamp (colorspace issue?)

Currently, as of Winamp v5.581 I have the following issue ...

I downloaded this jpeg for use as Album Art with a number of MP3 files.
However, when I associate the jpeg with the MP3 the Album Art does NOT display within Winamp.

This was very strange, because if I pointed the MP3 to ANY OTHER jpeg the image displayed as expected.

I did a little digging, and found the following article:
http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse...hp?f=1&t=11247

It seems that jpegs with a colorspace of CMKY (vs RGB) won’t display in IE.
I had to use Firefox to download this image from the web, as I could NOT see it in IE.
Thus I speculate this jpeg has a colorspace of CMKY (I don’t know how to confirm this property)

#1 – Does anyone know if this CMKY issue extends to the display of images within Winamp?
#2 – Can anyone else replicate this problem?
#3 – Is anyone aware of a workaround/solution?

.

convert the file using photoshop or gimp. winamp is picky and wants what it wants.

BUG #1 = Winamp skips short tracks
Wish #1 = Multiple Column Sorting
Wish #2 = Add TCMP/Compilation editing

Convert from what to what? The file is already a jpeg.

Sorry, but this is beyond what I know about digital imaging.
The difference between a jpeg, a gif, and a raw file ... that I know ... but this is deeper than that.

Are you thinking that my speculation above is corrrect? That this is an issue with the colorsource?

yeah, convert to rgb. also, sometimes extensions are false, like something is a gif or bmp but it has a jpg extension and still works in some apps, so it can be confusing.
