Reconnection Timeout changes wont save.

I set it to 1 second before. (Yeah I know) Now when I set it to 30, then close, and reopen. It's back to 1 second. What am I doing wrong? TYIA.

Are you using DSP v2.3.5?
Afaik, that was a bug in older versions.

Well that version fixed the 30 seconds but every other audio track is sped up slightly and skipping. I went back to 234 and 30 seconds is still there. You guys are great and fast with updates but something seems to always break. (

nothing was changed with any of that side of things (encoding) and is more likely either exposing an existing issue / something not seen before. seriously though, the Source DSP is just a basic option to get broadcasting and relying on it as a primary broadcasting solution is why it is often not fit for purpose and has issues (if anything, it's only really something that exists now for testing out things for the DNAS/SC protocol) and there are better broadcasting solutions to use than it, though for some it is fine but based on your comment, its probably not for you now.

Anything current with this century you would recommend? Remember though I'm using old server PC's to get this done. IM not a gold star dance station but a hobbyist since 1999. If I stick with 234 will winamp break it with any of the players future releases?

alas i don't have a magic crystal ball to know what will / won't exactly change in future Winamp versions. so i cannot give you an answer for that question but based on things normally, something probably will break in some unexpected and unintended manner.

OK I went back to 2.3.4 and the reconnect was back to 30, now it's 1 again. Is their a manual way to fix this? I cant use 2.3.5 because its playing some tracks garbled. And this is no good because I am having an issue with my electric. I know that's not anyone's fault but where I live but this is becoming awfully frustrating. I cant use either.

2.3.4 doesn't read the config setting which is why there's the issue to start with. 2.3.5 fixed that reading issue and so there's no way to get 2.3.4 to work correctly for that option.

as for garbling, i don't know what's causing it (i cannot replicate things from a quick test) and would need more information on how to replicate it. plus you should try re-selecting the encoding options to see if that helps (has done so previously for some).

Some tracks are fine, then a track comes up and its like the guys trying to gargle and do a show at the same time. Its just some tracks that do it. Seems to be specific but if I pulled the ones the dsp doesnt like there goes half my rotation.

you'll need to provide me with a copy of one of the offending files as well as the setup of the stream (format, bitrate, etc) and it can then be looked into.

http://socialcrime.com/share the files are in there, the chris rock is an offender, i cant remember which mitch fatal is the offender so try both. Bitrate is usually 64 @ 44 stereo but i also tried mono.
