And On that day, the Lords of the land said unto their Master Architect, "The temple you have made to the gods of Wasabi and Maki has brought us no great prosperity" and they sent out him into the lands.

As he traveled to a far off land, he found he wasn't traveling alone, but that he had gained companions, and when they found their new land, they started work on a new temple, one that would be OPEN to all who wanted to worship.

No, I don't like it happen to be another stupid numbers program like Netscape, AOL, and MSN have done already in their products. Thats where they had skipped and trotted their way up in numbers.

dz is right, if they're going for the fibonacci thing. of course, they would have had to have had two version 1's for that to hold true...

144 55+89= that

or if you then use the aspects of numerology that then breaks down to 9 1+4+4=9 which is considered to be a power number....hmmm interesting...well to me anyway the rest of you probably haven't , like me, got a clue about what I'm goning on about...

btw we had a build 1.44 or did we ? wonders --go's of to search....

<comes back from search> hmm.. only listing I get with anything in relation is build 1.44 Liinks to here (LINK)

well, Winamp heaven has only 1.40 and 1.45, same with oldversion.com

so if there was a 1.44 build, it may have been an internal build.

Here's what happened to Winamp 4...

After the horrible failure of the much anticipated Winamp3, Nullsoft had to come back with something that would blow everybody's mind. They worked for several months in a lab so secret that AOL to this day still does not know where it is, and created Winamp 4, a version so perfect that you could run it without even having Windows on your computer. It used absolutely no system resources because it ran on magic power. The equalizer was so smart that it automatically detected the size of your speakers and your room and set the parameters accordingly. The AVS actually ran inside your brain. There was only one problem: if you ran it for more than 20 minutes, your computer would burst into flames. So Nullsoft had to work 24 hours a day to fix this bug. Justin became so tired during this time that he forgot to feed Mike the llama. Mike went two weeks without eating anything, so he looked around for food. He found something that looked like pizza, so he ate it, but it wasn't pizza, it was Winamp 4! And it was release day! Nullsoft scrambled to put something together, so they took the old code from Winamp 2 and the Wasabi skins from Winamp3 and made a new version. They couldn't use the number 4 because technically they had a Winamp 4, and it died a horrible death. So they called their concoction Winamp 5, using the excuse that 2+3=5.
