Build your own P.C.

Why would any1 by a prefab P.C. ? Build your own and save money!!! besides the obvious benefit is that you end up with the P.C. you wanted, not the one the manufacturer thought you wanted.
I just finished my latest project a ASUS A8N-SLI mainboard running the Nvidia nForce 4 SLI chipset with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core Processor with a 1MB L1 cache
512 X2 L2 with 4 GB of DDR PC4000 from Crucial Memory with a new Crucial RADEON X850 XT 256MB PCI Express Graphics card. this is also running a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro Sound card..
Processor AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-core
Model 4800+
Operating Mode 32/64
Stepping E6
Frequency 2400Mhz oh By the way..Its overclocked to 3.14GHz
HT Speed 2000
The Bottom line$1,270.55 and most important of all its EXACTLY the one I wanted!!!!!
I defy anybody to find a prebuilt system matching mine in all specs for less then $1800.00
Build it youself and save

I just love the pi GHz

Even though you posted the over-obvious, added a useless image and copypasted half of your post, you still score one point for the 3.14159265358979

Actually, you can often get prefab PCs for less money than their constituent parts. I'd've probably bought a company-built one for the one I have now had I not wanted a Shuttle case.

Can u feel the love

Pre-fabs r cheep.....er but they DON'T come with a 256 Mb graphics card(that a upgrade) they DON'T come with 4 Gb of RAM That a upgrade BIGTIME When you take into consideration that I payed 800.00 for the processor alone comming in at just over 1200.00 is pretty Damn Good

Overclockers of the WORLD Unite
The thing that really sucks is that in 6 months or less RAMBUS is comming out with the XDR memory Controllers with options of 3.4or 5 or even 8 GHz front side Bus speeds so my pc-4000 is a waste of Space

Caveat Emptor

Yeah, I'd build myself a computer, if I had the time, knowledge, and desire to. Maybe most people don't need the most advanced gaming rig to ever be devised when all they do is surf the web and maybe type some crap every-so-often or have way more important things to do with their lives, like work. I'm using a $500 Dell right now. It sure as hell will never run Doom 3, but then I'm not ever intending on playing Doom 3 on a computer (if at all). And I frankly don't give 2 shits if having a Dell makes me an ubern00b, I wasn't the one to buy it and it gets the job done just fine.
