Hi again!

Wow, wildrose - 2 grandbabies? The last I knew your daughter had just gotten married!

I lost touch with Scor a few years ago. I think he is still living near Macon GA. My brother said he ran into him about a year ago and he was doing ok. He had some kind of surgery and was in daily pain but doing well.

So much has happend to me. I don't know where I left off. I was probably living in GA when I was here last. I moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL for 2 years and a year ago moved up to the Philadelphia, PA Area. The boys are great and so big now. They are 18, 17, and 14, can you believe it? They are the ages that some of you were when you joined winamp years ago! They have turned into wonderful nerdy young men and I am so proud of them. They are pretty lazy at times, but they do take good care of me. The older 2 are headed towards being 6 feet tall. They have some friends coming over this weekend from NY and they are all going to some video game conference here in Philadelphia. They are so excited! They want to battle girls in a video game match just to beat them (ok, yea I raised nerds!)

I got a fantastic job making a ton of money. I am a marketing consultant for a bank in DE. I have worked hard with my career and it finally paid off! Work is a little unstable now, but I have something lined up just in case.

I have gained 15lbs over the years, but not doing too bad for being 40. Yup, I turned 40 this year. I still feel like a young spring chicken! I have a wonderful BF, he is awesome and is good to me. He is super tall 6'5 and for some reason people are so intimidated by him. It really makes me laugh so hard because he is really gentle. (well, I wouldnt want to make him really mad, lol). We got pregnant at the beginning of the year (we were trying to) but the baby didn't make it . It was a rough healing process but I am doing much better now!

So, REALLY tell me what is going on with all of you!

(((Hugs)))
Missy

We ALWAYS come back.

Welcome back, again, Missy!

Good to hear you and the boys, and the BF, are going well. Sorry to hear about your loss though, the couple I was living with last academic year had the same happen to them so I've seen what that's like.

On a lighter note: The older guys sound hot, don't let me near them.

Great to hear you found a new guy (you deserve one) and that you're doing so well in life!

I don't know when you last visited, but I got married two years ago and we went thought the same loss too, also at the beginning of this year. I know it sucks. It really sucks.

Good to hear you're doing better now.

Are you going to try again? I'm also wondering how the boys reacted to it.

Warrior - It was a really hard time for me as I am sure you can relate. I could barely get out of bed for the first couple of weeks, I was an emotional mess. The boys were really supportive and extra attentive and patient with me. As they are older, they understand more of what I was going through. As for trying again, we did for a few months, but I am not sure now. There is a great support group online that I can tell you about.

Ya know Chev, I waited all those years for you and didn't want to end up the old lady with a thousand cats sitting in a rocking chair....

Here is a recent pic of me and the boys.

Much Love,

Missy

Love Mac and Nars. I wouldn't go out of the house without Nars Orgasm(Wonderful blush; looks great on everyone.)
I'd call Sephora and tell them what shade Mac you are wearing.. They have some very sharp makeup junkies there,

Another "Awakenings" thread I see. Good to see you all here. I haven't seen Joel in a while either, but now he's here. Lain, You must have become inactive before I signed up; I don't remember you, but welcome back anyway!

I too got married back in July '07. I love it. No kids though - still trying to find a job that will keep me a while. I've had great jobs, but have been laid off a lot forcing me to go on big relocating moves. Hopefully this one will work out and I can grow some roots. My wife and I are high school counselors in rural Iowa.

I'd love to find a job out in the country.

Anybody know where places like this actually are?

I suspect the real issue is finding IT work out in the middle of nowhere.

No such luck here - All you see are cornfields - all flat, mostly no trees.

The place where I grew up in rural Pennsylvania was absolutely gorgeous though.

Baxter located in Boulder, CO looks somewhat like that. Well, it's a city and you can see the snow covered mountains in the distance.

I was out at their blood subs group (which essentially is the Boulder facility) a few times when I worked for their injectables division in Chicago.

Baxter was always massive on IT, so there you go.

I'm all done with school. I got my BFA. I'm back in upstate NY working at a Real Estate company doing their graphic design. I also started up a little business for my illustration work. It's going really well! I just partnered up with a construction company drawing up their house plans.

...and ones that pay really well in Antarctica too. I have a cousin (in-law) down there washing dishes at a dining hall. He pays nothing for rent or utilities, gets paid more than I do, and only works about 6-8 months a year and spends the rest of the year with his family where he grew up, during which time he finally gets to spend all that money he saved up while down there. I'm sure a decent IT guy down there is anything but poor.
