Proxy credentials unencrypted in winamp.ini
Dear all,
Why proxy settings aren't encrypted in winamp.ini? Anyone can access that file and easily grab username and password there. I found that winamp.ini is a part of a roaming profile and I would expect it to be encrypted anyway but it's not. Usually user's profile is wiped after user is logged off but it happens that roaming profile remains on computer and then it's accessible by any user in Docs & Settings. Is there anything that can be done to fix that problem? I wouldn't like to leave my credendital decrypted anywhere. That's a serious problem in my opinion. I know it sounds know like a know'how as I left some clues. Regards Krystian |
