Sure... I could have downloaded an emulator. But you're missing the whole point. That emulator is not a Nintendo. I don't care how accurate the emulator games may be... they aren't Nintendo games.

The roms are the exact games, but the emulator isnt a nintendo...thats why its called an emulator.

I've got emulators for nes, snes, genesis, gameboy, psx etc. and playing them on tv isnt bad at all...the only noticeable difference is the controller, but its not the real thing.

My mom 0wnZ Tetris. And I am not lying. She used to run me off of contra or mario3 so that she could 0wn Tetris for about 2-3 hours. When she finally did mess up, she got the screen with all of the Nintendo characters jumping around.

My list so far:
-The Legend Of Zelda (Gold Version)
-Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt
-Super Mario Bros. 3
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
-Rad Racer
-ExciteBike

I've still got quite a few to find to get back all the old games I used to have... But I'm getting there.

Tetris!! What collection would be complete without Tetris? I found a copy of the original (1985) version for the NES in perfect condition.

Btw, anyone got a copy of The Punisher or Pinball Quest that they'd like to donate?

METROID!!!!

Ahh yes, i can remember all the coca colas and ritz crackers i downed playing that game.

Ive beaten all the Metroid games, 1, 2, 3, working on Fusion, Prime is hanging in the balance of me buying a GCN, but i doubt it.

I also liked Startropics.

I told the guy at GameStop to save me a Limited Edition Platinum GameCube... because I'm buying it with money from my next paycheck (which I get tomorrow ). I'm going to get Metroid Prime, 007: Nightfire, StarFox, and a few other Cube games with it.

I might be a little more scarce around here when that happens...

Fuck you <^>

I wanna play Prime! (hopes UC can fill the void)

The onr thing that sucked about Metroid 3 is i could never get the "Justin Bailey" ending(171 hours my ass). I suddenly feel the urge to find my SNES and my Game Genie(i can use it to set the gained hours to 0).

I got my GameCube last night. I picked up a copy of Rogue Leader with it and reserved my copy of Metroid Prime. I haven't hooked it up yet seeing as how I'm over at my mom's place tonight, so I'll do that tomorrow.

Anyways, I finally found a copy of Graduis III for the SNES. 7 bucks.

Maybe.

I never really got into the FF series. They just never interested me. Zelda on the other hand, even though it's an action-adventure game as opposed to rpg, is my favorite. I guess I'm just not into rpgs that much.

Oh, and I picked up a Zapper Gun for my Nintendo tonight. I can play Duck Hunt again!

I'd reccomend getting an emulator for free but nothing can defeat the pleasure you get with the entire controller in your hands other than using a Keyboard.

Although Emulators have been grand for me: I love Blaster Master, and I would always have to turn it off at the end of level 3 because I could not beat it, and I'd have to start all over! Emulators can actually save the game at the POINT YOU ARE AT! SO COOL!

I also bought a Limited Edition Platinum GameBoy Advace (not SP) earlier tonight, too. It goes sooo good with my Platinum GC. Now I just need to get Metroid Fusion and a link cable.

The SP looks so awesome, I'd have got one of those instead. But anyway, what do you want to get for it?

I think you can get Driver and Driver2 (albeit GTA2-style in appearance) for the Advance.

I like the SP a lot, too, but it's just too small for me. Hell, the regular GBA is too small, but at least I can use the L and R buttons on it. I'm not quite sure about what games (besides Metroid Fusion, that's a given ) that I'm going to get for it yet, though. I'm sure I'll find a few.

-suprisingly enough i think driver for gameboy is indeed in pseudo 3d super jagged and shifty but 3d

-i cant believe there has been no mention of "legend of kage" for nes

-emulators for some unknown reason are indeed a far cry from owning the actual console even if you do have a in hand controller its still not the same (there is a way to hook up a snes controller to a putter i think; as infered from seing "printer port snes controller" in so many emulators) though because good old games are hard to come by in my town: most people hold on to that sort of thing and because there still mildly expensive i think ill have to settle for emulators when it comes to nes and neo geo and so on. though i am tetering on the verge of buying a snes eventhough there still 30 bux dough. killer instinct, super mario world, and donkey kong are quality entertainment. my sister stole my old one

-though most here might take it as sacriledge i think metroid prime is way better than halo. however, i have yet to have the privledge of playing halo multiplayer.

-did you know that sony is going to come out with a handheld in 2004 <--- true story.

::end::

Never played Halo, but Metroid Prime took over the spot of my favorite game to date, previously held by The Ocarina Of Time.

And even though I hate Sony (for the most part, anyways) I did happen to pick up a used copy of the original Gran Turismo this evening. Six bucks. But bleh... anyways, back to Nintendo...

Sometime when I can afford it, I'm going to get another GBA and GC (both used) so that I can put my Limited Edition Platinum ones away and keep them in mint condition. Collector's items they will be.

I too am thinking of going and buying old systems. Some of my favorite games of all time were on the Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 8bit. Also gotta find the Sega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Sega Genisis. Some of my favorite games were on those too.

no, they're not. copying the ROM of the system, or the game/software media is, but straight emulation is not (except when you have to do one of those to do it - even then it's legal to do it as long as you have the original system).

Exactly my point, zootm. The games are illigeal if u don't have it.There's a new video game out called"Zelda:TGA".It's only for ROMS.So if u download it,the FBI would come and take your hard drive away!Isn't learning fun?
