I remember playing that countless hours at my friend's house when I lived on base. So yeah, being able to find all these games again brings back lots of good memories.

yes Excite bike is a great Nes game as is RiverCityRansom, code name Viper, and Ballon fight (still great 2 player game). maybe stg you could make a thred to the effect of "great games of yore.." or maybe that would be redundant.

also...
? why do u purchase more then one copy of a game. especially thoughts that are quite common such as the mario bros./duckhunt combo. Are these second copies in original packaging because otherwise I cant understand the reasoning. enlighten me sgt.

For the same reason that I have more than one of each of the Hotwheels in my collection. Wouldn't be much of a collection if I only had one of each. When the first run of the 1997 Corvettes (the green ones) came out in 1996, I bought over twenty of them. Anyways, I guess the reason is "because I can." Also, several of the games that I have two copies of... I found a copy in better condition than the one I already had, so I went ahead and got the second one to go along with it.

Well, since this thread has turned out to be my own personal online Nintendo archive... I'll post these and see if anyone notices them.

I made them last night. And I'll be making more Nintendo GamePak avatars soon, too.

I got the new design one as well as the old one which i got for free! (major windfall) The only games I play are the Marios and Duckhunt and Punchout. Also the new controller is more comfortable but a lot less responsive.

The 2nd gen NES is the only console I'm missing from my collection so far...

Hey GoC. When the hell am I going to get to buy that from you?!

I also need to get a Game Boy Pocket, too. It's the only Game Boy that I'm missing from my collection.

Suprise cuz thats the only game boy i have in my collection. That and my Advanced. You can have my pocket if you like. Just pay me postage. (The A and B buttons need to be pressed hard to register and the contrast is really fickle.)

I want to get the Donkey Kong's for Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. But I have no money.

I gave my cousin back her Dreamcast which I gave her and she gave me back my N64 which I gave myself. I picked up Perfect Dark which I previously had but had it permanatly borrowed and Turok which is new and I cant say that I like it.

So In my game area I have my NES (new version) SNES (old version) N64 and XBOX. Currently playing are Excitebike, Super Mario All Stars, Perfect Dark, Otogi.

I'm Back?

Stopped by the mall again today and picked up a couple more... Found a copy of Rad Racer II in excellent condition, and also found another copy of the original Rad Racer. This one came with the original box, game sleeve, and booklet. Hell it even had the styrofoam block that came in the box below the gamepak to take up the extra space. You know I couldn't pass that one up. Total spent on the two: about 22 bucks.

Picked up a few more games while I was at the mall earlier today... but only one of them was an NES game. Aside from getting a used copy of Killer Instinct Gold for the N64 and a new copy of R-Type III for the GBA, I found a copy of Defender II to add to my collection of NES games. This one's in excellent shape and only cost me four bucks. Now I just need to find a copy of the original Defender to go along with it.

Got four new games to add to my NES collection. Between the flea market and the mall, I picked up a copy of Xevious, a copy of Cybernoid - The Fighting Machine, a copy of Days Of Thunder, and a copy of Chip 'N Dale - Rescue Rangers. I don't really remember playing Xevious and Cybernoid back when I was a kid, but I remember playing Days Of Thunder and Rescue Rangers until my thumbs hurt. Fun games these are.

Yeh, okay, so it's not as well known but it had as many great games the NES.

I mean Shinobi, Wonder Boy, R-Type, Outrun (good conversion at the time, Alex the Kidd, Wimbledon, Mercs, Castle Of Illusion, and Hang-On to name a few.

Ok, I see your point, but I was dead chuffed when I got it for my 5th birthday.
