AMIP Alternative / Filepath to Text

Looking for a simple way to write the currently playing track's full filepath to a text file and keep the file updated.

I was using AMIP, but it has problems with certain kinds of MP4s.

I've written one plugin using the tutorial, so adding the function to that plugin is an option.
