Skinning FAQ broke

OK, I had a complaint about how my skin was rated and categorized, so I checked out the posted skinning FAQ, and read the paragraph that said:

If we've done something to piss you off, you can appeal by posting in here. If we don't do what you want there, and you have a valid claim, you can contact the big boss by mailing Steve at steve@nullsoft.com,and if he agrees, you'll be given your just reward and the offending member(s) will be forced to service Steve. Bitch.

I clicked on the "here" link directly, and got the error: "Invalid thread
specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster"

and clicked on "webmaster" and promptly sent and e-mail to mention the error.

My e-mail to webmaster@nullsoft.com BOUNCED (I clicked directly on the link, so it should've been a valid address).

So now what do I do????

Is this the thread you were looking for? http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=160347

However, complaining about the review in that thread (or any thread for that matter) is unlikely to get you anywhere.

Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway.

Nope

No, that's not the thread I was looking for.

If you go to http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=110858

Under the (jokingly) "How can I get rid of the Skin Review Squad?" there's the link that doesn't work.

And really, it's not even the review itself that bothers me. If they think it's only one star, they think it's only one star. I admit my skin's not the best, it's the first I tried. I think it's worth more than ONE star, personally, but they're entitled to their opinion. The thing that bothers me is that they slapped it in the "generated" category... which bothers me for two reasons:

1) My skin WASN'T generated, I used MSPaint, not a skinner!

2)It apparently also means my skin is also not searchable. :-( I want the people who are looking for it to be able to find it!

This is like censoring my skin just 'cause they think it's crappy.

And doesn't it bother anyone else that you get an error page, and when you click on the e-mail link, the e-mail bounces???

The thread you are looking for was accidentally deleted, it was replaced by the thread k_rock linked to, I've updated the FAQ to reflect that.

Why don't you give a link to your skin here and a reviewer, probably me, will try find out ..
a) why it was placed in the wrong category, if indeed it was.
b) why it got what it got.

No one is censoring you, your skin isn't that important in the grand scale of things, hence why it dosn't rate too highly on the list of priorities.

What strikes me as odd however, there are two dedicated skinning forums you could have brought this up in, but you placed it in the bitchlist of all places, seems you may be spoiling for an argument no matter what.

Anyhow, mistakes happen, and our database is far from perfect, if a mistake has been made, it's been made, no point bitching about it.

*shrugs*

Go ahead and link away, either myself or another reviewer will clue you up afterwards.
