Another Artistic Thread - POEMS

Hi izchan. At first I thought that the poem is for fun but I realized that it is an inspiring poem. For that's good.

As the sea rides in

Just like yesterday,
it's scent lingers of possibilities
what could have been
what would have been
my past, my present, my future
yet it is not so

Different from the current...

I want to cry
but tears do come forth to comfort me
only the fickle touch of acid rain
washing my face away
leaving behind my eroded skull

As yesterday
happiness ceased to be
Life as I know it
Is no more

Its been a while, so I thought I will post something up.
Hope you guys enjoy it.

Sadly I haven't written anything in forever.
Perhaps I shall, when inspiration hits one day.

: A Tribute

If man could fly
he will have wings
not twin engines on metal things

Yet flew he did
and landed it seems
on concrete walls
and unleashed its screams

Ok.
The thing is that we have had a dry season for the last 10 months.
The last post here was on June 2011.
That is a long time ago, and well, since I started this whole thing, I though I should be the one that either keep it alive? Or the last one posting ... :P

Thus, here is my poem for the day.

:: I told you so ::

I am no saint
that much is clear
so I am not going to apologize
about my behavior and the words I use
been telling everyone what I see
out there in this grayish world
using feelings that most will call
too strong for the likes of the soft and weak
leave now but don't you dare accuse me
of not telling you so
veil your eyes and ears if you wish
even as the wall crumbles around you
know this simple truth
life will go on regardless of your choice on how to face it all

nostalgia
as nothing seems to disarray
my hazy vision of directionless hate
time misses around my mental state
wandering my mind excise
relinquent yet elegant if I try to say
that my meaning is meandering
yet meaningless in a way
drifts of happiness
drowning torrents of otherwise
but only I can seem
to make any sort of mean
broken my future gleam
reflecting persistence of unmet dream
splintering
simplistic exquisite time
infinitely detached
lasting lasts of pasts
flowing by the ideals
left so carelessly behind
visionary expect
reality reflects
rejects, diverting aimless quest
only resigned at pointless rest

Happy thoughts are fleeting
overly sold with hope
what people don't understand is
that hope is not for sell
of all the things in life
freedom is what we crave
in such things like love and ever afters
living then becomes a something to do
lying becomes second nature
and at the end we blame everyone
forgetting that it is all our choices
using such trivial excuses
letting it all go to waste
leaving it to rot untended
could any other outcome be expected?
unless we wake from the dream
people will seek answers within the wrong places

Truth be damned

Worry not tomorrow
for today has yet to pass
Forget not yesterday
as it has left its mark
Think not of lesser times
for it gives better clarity
Especially when we look into our deepest recess
as the pain clears away the mist

Understand that your enemies will think more of you
then your friends will ever do
because they wont take you for granted
and always expects you to come in for the kill
