The last film i saw was "Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles" just last night. It was directed by Zhang yimou-a chinese director.

the last movies i paid for were "syriana" and "goodnight and goodluck" which i saw within 24 hours of each other.

before that, the last time i or someone paid my ticket to see a first run movie was when "return of the king" came out.

suffice it to say, movies suck nowadays. but i'm sure most of you knew that already.

Harry Potter and the goblet of fire. I think it's a great movie (that's only my opinion).

Sorry if my english is bad, but I think it is better to have something than nothing. SpeechLab 2.0. JAWS for Windows. ABBYY FineReader. LAME encoder. The GodFather (audio file manager).

A real thinker, a political thriller but likely to be beat down as a liberalist's point of view.

Well, 2 weeks ago I saw (5 times, not consecutively) Kill Bill Volume I... I'm a freak (literally) of that movie, and all of the Tarantino works... And another movie, "Flowers for Algernon"... It's a classic, I mean it... (at least for me)

Full Metal Jacket.I had never seen it before, it was pretty good, especially the first act. Then last night I watched at least half of Beauty and the Beast. It's been so long since I've seen that movie, I forgot how genuinely good it was.

Gee, umm.

I think it was oh yeah that Japanese movice.

Memoirs of a Geisha (?)

It felt very long winded but very imformative, sometimes quite strange and bizzare, but a 4/5 from me.

Syriana was alright if you're into political conspiracy stuff. Better than the Manchurian Candidate.

Last night I saw Domino which was alright except for the shitty cinematography.
After that I watched The Devils' Rejects.
THAT is some fucked up shit there.

I watched Domino this weekend too, Chev.
Pretty good movie, but I agree about the camera stuff.
Kind of irratic which got distracting at times.

Also watched Zathura...glad I didn't waste my time
going to the theater to watch it.

And both Rob Zombie films are off the chart bizarre.
But I liked 'em.

Already know the plight of the modern marine so all I can say is:

Donnie Darko becomes a sniper in Desert Storm before being discharged to become a gay cowboy.

Needed more action and more than a whopping 2 Iraqis.

Went and watched Ultraviolet yesterday. Storyline was kinda fucked up, and some of the acting could have been better, but the special effects were... interesting. A few scenes could have used some more work, but overall, they were pretty good. Even though the script was kinda cheesy, Milla played the part better than anyone else could have, I believe.

The Replacement Killers.

I think this movie could have been better. I thought Mira Sorvino was weak somehow. I can't really put my finger on it, but her performance was sort of lackluster.

In general I think it was sort of like Kung Fu meets Pulp Fiction sorta. I think it missed on both marks.

Thumbs sideways.

Mystic River-

Everyone I have talked to either really liked or really hated this movie. I liked it. But then I've liked Sean Penn movies before like "The weight of water".

I think if you liked one film, you'd like the other.

I watched this last night.

Dr. Ivan Hood: Hey, scumbag! You forgot something.
Bounty Hunter #3: What?

Pretty good movie.
Very impressed with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon
for singing the songs themselves and not lip synching.
Not many actors can do that as well as these two did

Open water.

Yuppies get eaten by sharks. But they did have a half hour of character development at the start of the movie that made you not care. I can't even figure out why they put this "movie" in the can. No cinematography. No plot. Just feeding yuppies to the sharks.

The other just gave up.
Or am I thinking about another shitty movie?

This movie brought out one of my biggest fears ever, falling overboard and being left behind.

no she got chowed too. After they eat the dead guy, you just see her get pulled under. Cut to the end and they cut his camera out of a dead shark.

At least that's the way I saw it. If they weren't bitching and screaming at each other, they wouldn't have attracted the sharks in the first place....

Maybe a scary premise, but I think a pretty lame movie.
