Bus error on Macintosh sc_trans build 54

OS: Mac OS X 10.6.8
sc_trans: sc_trans_mac_os_x_intel_10_07_2011

I've got the sc_trans_basic.conf set up, and it works with aacp. I need it to work with MP3. Here's the output when I try to transmit MP3:

Bus error

Here are the relevant lines from the .conf:

encoder=mp3
bitrate=96000
unlockkeyname=Joseph M Mallon
unlockkeycode=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (format of code sent to me as "Digital rights" in email from Winamp)

outprotocol_1=2
serverip_1=208.53.158.48
serverport_1=9564
password_1=XXXXXXXX
streamid_1=1

I bought the MP3 license 2 years ago. Can you tell me what might be going wrong?

in all honesty i don't know why sc_trans does that though it could be anything from how i build it to something in the library which we're provided to use not liking newer versions of OS X (as it's built on a 10.5.x install).

one thing that is strange is you've got outprotocol_1=2 when it really should be outprotocol_1=1 or outprotocol_1=3 (depending on the DNAS being used) as outprotocol_1=2 is for the old Aol Radio format which i didn't think is being used by anyone anymore.

Is there any way you can provide the source files, so I can build it myself? As it stands now, it's broken beyond use.

i'm sorry but the source code is not available. one thing to try is to enable all of the debugging options and then attach the log generated as a zip as that should give a better idea of where it had gotten to so i might be able to try to debug it from my side).

Here are my debug settings:

huffledebug=1
shoutcastdebug=1
uvoxdebug=1
gaindebug=1
playlistdebug=1
mp3encdebug=1
mp3decdebug=1
resamplerdebug=1
rgcalcdebug=1
apidebug=1
calendardebug=1
capturedebug=1
djdebug=1
flashpolicyserverdebug=1
fileconverterdebug=1
sourcerelaydebug=1
sourceandendpointmanagerdebug=1

Attached is the only logfile I could find.

Seems like the MP3 encoder you're getting is not compatible with Mac 10.6 or 10.7. When will the next rev of it be available?

that's assuming it is the mp3 encoder itself and not something to do with the handling of the encoder, as at the moment yes it only seems to happen when someone is using mp3 encoding but the aac and mp3 encoders have different handling code around them so that could be the cause.

i don't have any indication of there being a newer mp3 encoder to use from FhG and i have no eta on when i'll next have an sc_trans release other than when it happens. maybe i should try to find more hours in the day to try to get a 10.6.x setup to see if that helps me to replicate / fix it but in all brutal honesty, the mac builds are barely used so i have to focus time and fixes on the main platform builds.

Is there another way to do ShoutCAST broadcasting on the Mac that allows the use of a playlist?

i've no idea sorry. maybe someone will see this and will be able to suggest something (as the only other broadcast software on Mac that i know off is Nicecast and i don't remember that doing it directly from a playlist - i guess you could capture the system audio from a playlist in iTunes, etc).
