How to make the best out of the Arts and Desgin Forum

Being that the only people that actually frequent this part of the Winamp Forums are a small ammount of regulars, i.e., izchan, Magic Midget, myself, White Raven, etc...I thought it would benefit the newer members of the forum, how can I put this....the what and what not to do in here.

I know I'm not a mod, and these aren't rules, they're suggestions that I'd figure would help the newer members out, and save the regulars the frustration of seeing something off topic.

-Knowing full well that these Forums are grouped with the Skinning Section, this would mislead a lot of people into believeing that skinners actually frequent this section. When in actuallity all the answers they would be looking for aren't in here.

-If you DO have a question about Skins, you're answers would most likely be here.

-The members of the Winamp Forums who do frequent here are either writers or dabble in Computer Art, Graphic Design, Drawing, etc. If you have some art you would like to share, feel free to.

-Constructive Criticism is welcome, in order to further help the artist perfect their creation. But please, keep the childish remarks to yourself, because honestly, someone who has worked so hard to perfect something would be deeply hurt if they were shot down. Just keep this in mind, would you want someone saying the same about your work?

-Also, if you have some art that you think is innappropriate, read the Rules, and or, check with a Mod first, so that you don't get banned if it isn't something you can post.

And as always, read the rules, search before you post a question, blah blah...just have fun.

I did not know that I was one of the few to actually frequent this side of the forum. As I started out in the Generals area ... ... did not even notice that I was shifted here until one bright day I saw it in the page as Arts and Design. Still ... I think it is a bit hard to ask people to come into this section of the forum as it is not common for people to dabble in the arts sector anymore. I mean, how many people actually write poems these days ... let alone buy anthogies ... :P

Still ... I do hope that we can get more interest in the these parts as I really enjoy reading fresh creative thinking other than hearing my own insane ramblings. Like what I am doing now for instance.

Actually more and more people dabble in the artistic section. We need more people to come here and see our works. Izchan, many hundreds of thousands of people write poetry and post them on the internet to be read by millions. And it will always be that way as long as someone keeps on mixing different styles of writing and keep the ideas flowing.

Maybe .. I am not sure. I kind of keep to myself most of the time. Like a hobbit, you could say. I seek very little change. Seek even less recognition.

My greatest joy in life, is to be able to see the morning sun rise and then see it set.

My greatest grief is to not be able to say "I love you" to the people I care most.

My greatest wish is ... none at all ... for I already have all that I need.

I am neither a passimist nor optimist.
For I ask not for others to become better or worst.

As an artist, we try not to imply our views on reality.
We merely articulate what we see and understand.
can that be seen as a way or enforcing our idealogy?
I am not sure, the only thing that I know is, in art we create and share.

Is that not the ultimate goal of our profesions?

S-uper_T-oast, thanks. After the disaster so near my home, I would have to say that it is more than perfect, it is a fact. Dont ever wait too long to say what you feel inside of you, you might never get a second chance.

Thanks for the advice DragonSon...this is the first post i publish in this forum, as a skinner the only forum i used to visit was the Classic Skins forum (yeah, you know it).
I'm not a skilled artist (if we talk about GFX) but I give my best to do creatively designed skins. So if you're interested,i've some work out there... I'll check your posts as long as I can(actually I don't have broadband at home, so entering a tread is a real pain for me).That's all...and again, thanks for the advice...

BTW...I wanted to say that my main language is spanish, I'm still learning how to speak english well that's all
