I don't suppose we could vote for more than one?
There's 2 or 3 up there I would vote for.
It would be heartbreaking to have to pick one over another.
Hmmmmm...what to do?

My vote goes to a very nice person who not usually posts in the Skin Love forum. I don't believe she's ever said anyting bad about anybody.

Once again I must say I'm happy just to be on the list.
That is good enough for me.
As I look at the names that are there,
and reflect back on their posts over the last year,
I'm reminded of how grateful I am
to be amoung some of the finest people anywhere.
And for those who didn't make the list,
my hope is that someone will include you too.
There are many who were left out
that also deserve their name in the spotlight.
Good luck to everyone who's in the running.
This is an amazing forum!!!!!

I personally hate popularity contests - I voted for myself

the majority of the people on that list are good, quality, helpful forum members - they deserve recognition for their contributions, but they do not deserve to be singled out and I believe a few of the people on that list, don't deserve to be there..

but I digress..

If anyone else is considering voting for me, don't. I respectfully decline my nomination.

If anyone can find any of the skins I made please email them to Forevever@aol.com
I can't remember all the names but specifically hunting for Lascivious, and DEVOUR (compilation with Jax) and any in the Impulse series which had 6 total. Auriferous, Gilt, Impulse, Nadir, and 2 others I can't remember but you dig.

My Vote for RhinoTrip

My vote goes for RhinoTrip.. cause I think he is the person who started of with skinning winamp 3 [though lots of them now are better than his]., He was with it during the initial stages of development when not so many coders were interested in it

Wow. Can I say I'm honored? Seriously, I know where the Winamp forums "fit in" in the rest of the universe, but it still meant a lot to me that people who I think of as my peer group think I'm worthwhile . That's the nicest thing to happen to me and a long while.

I don't feel I deserve to be Member of the Year, don't waste your votes on me, but thanks for the nomination. Vote for Bop, Missy, papadoc, randman, or Jarsonic (or whomever you like ). I was having a crappy couple of days, and this morning was looking worse still, but things just got a whole lot brighter. And, of course, when I don't get member of the year, if someone wanted to tag my name onto January's M-o-M, I would be pleased as punch .

To wild-rose, Phily, and SNYder, your words brought tears to my eyes, I am not just saying that, it is the truth. They were so sweet and nice. When I first entered these forums, I just wanted to know how to change an mp3 into a wav file, but what I found was much more. This is an incredible group of people here ~ and from all over the world also. I just want to say thank you for the kind words.

SNYder hon, dont underestimate what you bring to the forums. You have great style, and are an incredible person. Like I said before, I hope my boys grow up through their teen years and are as great as you!

The one thing that is awesome about this poll, is that it is bringing together all of the forums, not just the GD or Skins, or tech support, or development. It is bringing us all together for once. I think as well as being a poll, it will bring all of us a little closer together, and give some an opportunity to meet people in other forums that we would never have otherwise.

My vote is a very tough one. I am going to think about it for the day and vote tonight.

Have a great day everyone, may something good come your way today.

riiiight - based on what? A good number of these people have been gone 6 months or more, and a fair number of them are just plain useless. Get real guys - stick to strictly GD poll like you have been. If you really want to honor people on other forums, but the poll there. (I assume, of course, that a thread this monumental has been cross posted, but I haven't checked.)

I'll not take up any more space with this. Let me just say, that I despise these polls, (this one most of all), that I have good reason (primarily the one I covered briefly above), and that I've held silent on the MOM stuff only because I didn't feel that they were worth the rant. But this takes the cake - it really does.

And to answer the unspoken questions - would my opinion differ if I were on the list? Maybe. I don't want you all to get the idea that I'm completely rational.

Who did I vote for? well, of the entire list, there were only who I know who I felt deserved it. There. I've had my little say, and I feel better. Happy polling.

I wanted some skinners and more members from other forums in the poll. I knew they'd moan about it if not. But look, still they ^ moan

The only people that complain about and hate these polls are the ones not included since they think no-one loves them.

Of course people will disagree with some nominees. I do to some of them. We can't pick everyone. This is just for amusement. We all know most members up there are winners anyway. (including many not selected)

sorry - but when these things started was routed out of skin love and told to go vote - I was told that it was just for fun and that I was supposed to care 'cause it was a forum-wide event, to bring us all together and get people to know one another better. I'da been a lot easier with these things if I hadn't been run down and lied to in my cozey little hidely hole. But I was, and I then, and I now.

Sue me. And matt - that's a pretty pathetic reason - you wanted more 'outsiders' just 'cause you knew they'd bitch? Reread above, and then eat me. As to complaining solely because I wasn't nominated, I will at least have the grace to say that there are a few people who were nominated who I think should win (as I said) and that I feel are worth emulating. I simply refuse to condone this process.
