I get a scripting error. And why are the edges not anti-aliased? Other then that great work! Did you make this in photoshop?

Well, I think that's because there's this text, "beta", in the name of the skin... But, what do I know...

1) Winamp3 Beta 2.5 will indeed have a scripting error. Since the skin is designed for Beta 3, it is not completely compatible with 2.5. When 3 is released, there will be no scripting error.

2) Winamp3 Beta 3 has anti-aliasing turned off by default. To turn it on, CTRL+P -> Skins and UI Tweaks (tick it).

3) Yes I did indeed make it in Photoshop.

Pretty cool except for the script failure when I open it. I like the look of this thing, a little giger in there. Can't wait for the next version.

/me wants beta3 even more now

i've noticed that the time display sits slightly too far to the right when you switch it to show remaining time.

nant,
If you are accusing me of ripping anything, I am very offended. I have never ripped anything and never plan to. Everything in this skin was created from scratch.

monaux, I think he means a mode like shade-mode that has winamp2 dimensions, not anything to do with ripping.

Somebody (I thought it was you, but maybe not?) demo'd a sweet looking skin that had a free-form main mode, a shade, and a "classic" 2.x mode.

Looking for it now.

[edit]So I'm not crazy, it was you

I was away for a while.
But I'm feeling much better now.

Will you still whip me if I tell you that I don't know? You should ask nIRV, as he did the scripting part of the skin.

Good job! Here's another suggestion from the peanut gallery to consider. You see the eyes on that creepy face in the background? Make them interactive. For exmaple, have them open when you click on them to toggle the avs or thinger or something. However, if animations like that take up more time or CPU resources that they're worth, don't waste your time.

First off it's a beautiful skin, and I can't wait for it to be done. Also am I to assume that the volume, seek, and eq buttons don't work because its beta or is it just winamp3 2.5?

They will work in Beta 3, which this skin was designed for.

OOHH PPLLEEEAASSEE!!! IT IS SOOO KICKASS!!!!!
Thanks!

....

..and you are a part of this how...not to be rude but I have no idea what your doing is in all of this... I'm new
PLUS..yall have to get over this rivalry...WA3 and S2 ( when it comes out ) are two differant playesr..both with their ups and downs..albeit wa3 has a bigger ear with a well devoted team!
I am not about the rivalry...whoever thinks it..I am about the art and the scripting and it would be an honor to share this with a community that..well..will never see it..

Question Man Monaux

I checked out your site..tis awesome!!..LOVE the art...I can believe you get all that done in PS 5.5 ...Do you have PS^ now?
And by what I was reading...you do EVERYTHING in it?..man...I cheat..for time saving purposes and use AI9 and Streamline for the redraw...One more question if your up to it...Whats your most used tool....looks like the airbrush but there are some pretty kickass textures in there..once again..AWESOME MAN!

monaux's actual responses:

1.) Did it all in PS5.5 (because I hate 6).
2.) I always work at 1:1, not bigger than the final version. This makes pixel detailing easier.
3.) If you feel up to the challenge, I suppose you can attempt to port it. I doubt you'll want to bother though.

Why did you made that Pl/ml and eject button so small??? you've got plenty of space there.. and the text isnt readable either, way to small

I like to see the wa2 mode of this..

Read some comments about this skin at Deviantart

I personally would have waited the few extra days (for beta3) before releasing this skin. As hard as that may be after all your hard work. It really does't help remove the scepticism people have about W3, especially with the opening error message and the absent funtionaly.

At least you did your best to explain that in the discription.
Its just hard for me to read about people boycotting W3...when the really don't know what's going on.
