Any solve/workaround to get viewed the Listeners again like shoutcast/stats ?

EDIT: Okay got it Working again, just copied the old Servlet.class from RC2 into RC3 Folder and now it works again

I got a new problem with servlet.java/.class

Reason:
Want to have a second/private test /webapps/shoutcast folder which works independent, but when i connect a second stream the number of viewers still increases, even I only watch the teststream. Or is there a chance to modify the servlet.java to show only the viewers of only one defined stream

For Example:
port 8000 is standard NSV Port -> Servlet.class should show number of viewers
port 8010 is Teststream NSV Port -> Servlet.class should ignore number of viewers

Actually it shows both connects in servlet.class

Or is there another solution to ONLY show how much viewers on 8000 are...

Couple things you could try.

create serveral shoutcast folders with names like, shoutcast1, and config the red5-web.properties in each WEB-INF folder.

THe other one is to extend the application with java, and set attributes to subscribers. Then add a method to get count that requires a string. get the string from post vars, and then enumerate the clients that have that attribute.

You see, stats servlet was only to show you how to access the application from a http request. Just an example.

Currently I am working on an nsv encoder. There has been some work done on the shoutcast app. Looking at loggin bandwidth to SQL tables, and other play stats. THere is no E.T.A. You know though... If I put too much work into it I may create separate usage licenses. Such as free for personal use, and small license fee for commercial providers. Shoutcast is self funded and a hobby. I have other priorities such as freelancing my room and board.

But yeah. some more dev has gone down in the encoder department.

Well i tried to create a folder named shoutcast2 in webapps
and in red5-web.properties but wont helpes. Even i removed the second bean in red5-web.xml

Well at that moment i try to connect - even with no bean, the count is +1.

The Servlet.java doesnt difference the streams and counts just every connect , even if the stream exists or not.

I just tried to change this

to this

resp.getOutputStream(live1).write(("Number of viewers :"+ viewers).getBytes());

but doesnt work , how can i realize that ? The Other streams dont need to count , only that one stream has to be :-(

I copied servlet.class and servlet.java from the shoutcastv2 tou shoutcastrc3 folder but it didn't work

just copy servlet.class RC2 in the folder of RC3 and restart Red5 - so localhost:5080/shoutcast/stats should work again

Shoutcast Video works perfect - Audio shows some mistakes but on which standard Port does the Flash listen ?

Maybe you have some settings for NSV Encoder or publish them.

at a given bitrate, h264 uses the same bandwidth as any other video codec

As i mentioned earlier: That's not a sattisfying solution. Whtat about the viewer you could get from your shoutcast.com directory? They're clicking the "tune in" link an get a black picture, because they don't have this plugin, and winamp will not tell them "to watch this video click here"
So they switch over to the next station. And so we've lost one viewer, in the example.

The thing is: you have to create a solution for everyone, without any howto's or explenation.

Well i still look for a chance to get stats working for Flash like Radiotoolbox. Is it possible to evaluate listeners count except ...xxx:5080/shoutcast/stats

How does NSV logging work like ? Radiotoolbox either cant log Flashlisteners, too - for a statistic ;-(
Does anyone have a program to get all listeners together ? Maybe OlRi ? ^^

I've been working on this thread and can finally say i've got it all set and done!
My only problems it seems is encoding h264+aac.

I intent to decode in jw player located at dholaholic.com/tv/

Could you please share with me the settings you enter into the x264/VfW configuration screen.
I am unable to encode a video that will decode through flash. So far all my encoded videos work locally through winamp and remotely through shoutcast & red5 & winamp however JW Player struggles to even load any video or sound from the h264/aac .nsv container.

Any input would be appreciated and im silently,eagerly waiting on what you've announced you will be releasing!
If it fits my needs be sure to expect £50 from me

Hey Guys and Gurls Its been long time since the last post. Does anyone got Flowplayer works with Red5 ? JWPlayer works very fine, but wanted to try Flowplayer, too - but I dont find any tutorials or documentations for Red5<>Flowplayer - without this Influxis server.

Do I really need Influxus for that player ?

Well i already looked in that forum , but there are no answers in that direction yet, and I thought maybe someone used red5 and i also got help from here with jwplayer, too. So my hope was anyone else changed from JW to Flow and could maybe help me with that.

flash media players only need two parameters.

1, the resource address 'rtmp://****'
2. The stream name to play.

Any more than that is just B.S. supporting more options than you need....

Flow,JW, all of them are the same.

Stream resource + stream name.

All you need to know from those other forums is how to play a RTMP resource. Nobody else will get it otherwise...

@Netandio well thx for the link - the player works with our stream, but theres the good old "upside down mirrored" problem. Is there a possibility to flip the screen in that player or maybe in red5 ?

For the JW Player you can find a suitable plugin in this thread for flipping the picture. Or write it by yourself, its not that hard. I wrote my own Flashplayer, which flips the picture in only 2 hours without knowing anythinkg about actionscript

Or search for another solution for restreaming NSV Video in Flash. Smelters Red5 Plugin is not the only solution. There are some more. The one I use does not need to flip the picture and has not the "pixel"-problem when transcoding from vp6 to flash.

Well JWPlayer flip.swf does only work with Version 4.x , since 5.x (at the moment 5.3) it has no source code available anymore.

I dont have any clue how to program in AS-language Red5 seems to be the only "free" Version on the net, isn't it ?

two things strike me as odd about this statement

winamp nsv vp6 and flash vp6 are identical ... except inverted with respect to each other ... so how could you not need to flip??

secondly .. transcoding??? smelters red5 solution doesn't transcode

I'm using my own transcoding solution. Because i transcode the stream i do not need to flip the picture. Transcoding needs some more CPU but its more stable than smelters plugin AND it does not "pixel" when using a vp6 live stream as source.
