ICY metadata decode
Now we develop web radio package in android. When parse artist and title, we use "char" type. But we found, some channel title and artist can not display well.
So I want to know the which decoding method of ICY metadao(title & artist) is used, utf8,ucs2 or others? thank you very much! |

are you pulling this from the DNAS page or from inside the stream ?
if you are pulling this from the DNAS page then I believe this is standard USASCII, if from the stream itself again it is ASCII however you need to make sure you use the meta data header to determine the length correctly in the HTTP response when connecting to the stream. BW Without open minds the world will die. Open yours and correct the mistakes you are making right now. |
