Different highlight colors on playlist entries?
I read the rules, help, FAQ, and tried searching the forums a bit but came up empty-handed as I don't know quite know what to search. Anyway..
To my question now. I was just wondering why some of my playlist entries were highlighted in a different colored overlay. Like sometimes a particular track would be highlighted in green, and sometimes some of them are highlighted in a red color. Someone told me once that the red overlay meant that the IDv3 tags contained non-supported ASCII characters or something similar. But, I dunno. Some of them were highlighted in red but the IDv3 tags were blank and perfectly fine.. So does anyone have idea what this could mean? I'm using the classic skin for Winamp if it means anything. My apologies if this has been covered in the help/FAQ. |

?
selection and text colour is set by the skin your using. if you change skins, the colours probably change. default classic skin should be green text and blue selection. the current song playing should be white. |

I know that the text is green for entries in the playlist. I know the current song is playing is in WHITE font. And I know clicking on something makes it BLUE. I understand that and I am using the default skin. Always have and always will.
Like I said. Sometimes random tracks would be either overlayed in a red or green color. And it's not because I have them selected (clicked on). I've noticed the red overlay a few times in the past. While today, I saw one with green overlay for just the first time. I was curious and had to ask. I'll take a screenshot next time it happens. Any other ideas? |

The Jump to File colorizer can also hi-lite queued items and missing files with a different colour.
Winamp > Prefs > Jump to File > Missing Files node: Highlight the background of missing playlist entries > Options Winamp > Prefs > Jump to File > Display tab: Highlight background of queued items in playlist > Options Maybe something to do with that? |

Let's see this is all that i've manually installed:
FLAC decoder Sqrsoft DSP Enhancer DSP and SleepTimer. Nothing there that seems relevant. |

By the way, I was really expecting to get a simple answer here but I guess not. I thought it would be an easy question... no big deal if no one knows. Don't want to waste anyone's time for something trivial.

Not sure, but it could've been a 5.24 vs jtfe (gen_jumpex) 0.97.3 bug, or maybe some other 1st/3rd-party bug or incompatibilty issue.
Latest version of Winamp is 5.3 (plus separately available 5.3a updates - see sticky at top), and latest version of gen_jumpex is 0.97.7h |

Different highlight colors on playlist entries?
I have the same "problem"..
I use the "Winamp Modern" skin and the "City Night" color theme.. In the playlist all unselected entries are white, the one playing is yellow and a “black box†surrounds the ones that are selected. When I minimize the playlist so it only shows the one entry that are currently playing, the entry is normally showed in a yellow textfont. BUT some entries show up in a white textfont instead. Why is that? - Something wrong with the file? (.flac-format).. The song plays just fine, but I'm just curious about what this change in color means.. Please see attachment.. PS. I made TWO screen shots and merged them into one image.. |

Different highlight colors on playlist entries?
Well..
It looks like it HAS something to do with the metadata in the file.. If I change “Tiësto†to “Tiesto†in the metadata then the playlist entry looks like all the others.. But I'm not going to change it!!! :-) Winamp shouldn't highlight it in that way in the first place.. Tiësto is spelled Tiësto, and not Tiesto... |
