Server help!!!

Ok. So I have set up the Shoutcast DNAS server in order to broadcast and it seems to be working fine. And then I test out the URL of my stream in Windows Media Player and I can hear everything fine. I also was able to hear it using a separate computer. So I gave my friend the URL so he could listen, but he doesn't hear anything. So I checked again, and I can hear everything just fine. I have had him try connecting using my IP Address and using my private network ip address (the 192.168.1.100) just to be sure, and neither work. Can someone help me?

sounds like a port forwarding issue - have you port forwarded port 8000 on your router to the PC running DNAS

also, before you get too comfortable running DNAS from "home" ... do you have the necessary bandwidth for people on the internet to tune in to you?

Is it just me or are shoutcast users getting dumber?
