I really envy Mac OS for its mad graphic niceness. The Mac screen give a sense of "Sorry, your computer made a mistake. This will not happen again. Sorry again for any inconvenience." The windows screen only says "BZZT! BZZT! BZZT! ABORT! ARRRRRRRRRRGH! *Philip Glass* KRKAJRTAGRINGKJLGIRTCXXXZBzzzzt!!!"

a kernel dump is a kernel dump regardless of the graphics and what good does an error saying "This will not happen again" do? A computer cannot possibly know that.

But the Apple design radiates that kind of message. You don't run screaming from the room, you sigh and restart the computer.

Just get the SSE2 and SSE3 patch for the x86 build and you will be in like flint.

@tuckerm: How dare you suggest that there is a world outside of the winamp user forums! That has got to be blasphemy of some sort.

edit: @ everyone. Shit, my linux box has some sort of a kernel panick just about every day .... though it is generally proceeded by some sort of a hot flash....

That was pretty good.

On a related note, not only did the Intel Mac ads piss off Intel, but also the band The Postal Service, since the director for the ad blatently rehashed the music video he had produced for the band's song "Such Great Heights" a couple years ago.

Kernel Panic always reminds me of some character in a really, really bad war/action movie. Either that or a pro-wrestler.

Haha, that was the OS9-and-earlier one, wasn't it?

I love the "flashing disk with question mark" one which means it just can't boot.
