Exclamation Question about making buttons

As in both winamp media towers, and other skins, the player buttons are not rectangular. My question is, "does Winamp automatically make non-rectandular buttons' backgrounds clear, and can it overlap the invisible part with other buttons?"

Please help me with this!

P.S. This is my first post thread thingymobob.

Yes, just the visible part of the png is a button... can overlap.

ClassicPro© v2.01 : This plugin allows you to use cPro skins in Winamp. ClassicPro skins are all SUI skins and loads very quickly. ClassicPro skins is even easier to skin than Winamp Classic skins. A new layout have been added since version 2.

Thanks a million! But i got another question. MS Paint works for modern skins, right? The tutorial only uses the examples Photoshop, and Paintshop Pro. Those both cost money, and my trial expired a long time ago. When i redownload the file, it's like it's saved that my trial has expired. So does MS Paint work?

Thanks aaronspuler! It works great! I did not try gimp though. Sorry um, slob. More questions!(i find it easier than making about a thousand new threads)
1)The white and grey checkered part that is 0 alpha, thant's going to be the transparent part, right?

2)The code for the buttons in groupdefs is
<button
id="previos"
action="PREV"
x="0" y="0"
image="blue-player.button.previous"
tooltip="Previous"

(for simple tutorial)The Question:Ratr than making a MAKI script, is there something you could put in the "action" and/or "tooltip" thing for shuffle, fade, and repeat buttons? that would be great because the MAKI section in the Tut. is very confusing.(Boy did i want to just beat something up)

3)In the "image" section, do you have to say it directly from the start, likeC:\Documents and Settings\Blackinferno\My Documents\My Pictures\Winamp Skins\Player\previous.png, or do you start somewhere else in there to make it shorter, like My Documents\My Pictures\Winamp Skins\Player\previous.png, or can you go even shorter? WHERE DO YOU START?

WTF??

Maybe its just to early in the morning for me and I'm reading this wrong...

That image tag is just a tag. You'll have to define it in player-elements.xml... and if you do that the path start in your skin folder.....

if the png is in the root:
file="saywhat.png"

if its in a folder in your skin folder
file="player/saywhat.png"

Usually the white and grey checkered pattern represent the canvas so if you can see it then yes, that is where your image is transparent. As for your other question, I don't know, I'm not a skinner. I'm just here to keep up with new skins.

down to only question 2, so please do not answer #1 & 2 if you are going to post on this thread. No one in particular. I just hate repetitive posts.
