I forgot to mention before, but for anyone who is a Jim Davis (the guy who draws Garfield) fan, he also has another strip which he does along with another artist. It's called Mr. Potato Head I personally am still undecided about it. I'm not a regular reader (ie check it daily) but I will occassionally plow through a pile of them.

You're welcome Some of the potato ones are not bad. I liked today's (the unwrapping with eyes one)

Another strip that is good at times is Heart of the City

I just really got a laugh out of todays. Dean (the boy) is the ultimate fan geek. Except to see a lot of LoTR and Star Wars spoofs.

everybody should put chalk outlines on a country road at some time in their life. drivers slow down every single time.

i suspect the drivers slow down because they realise how easy it must be to accidentally knock someone down on the road. people tend to go waaaaay too fast on these things.

Calvin and Hobbes is great, I definately recommend it. I have a particular strip that has graced my lab bench for about as long as I've had a lab bench. It's not in the current archieves on that site, but maybe I'll scan it in from my books

Actually, I'm glad that Bill Watterson decided to end the strip when he thought it was the right time. There are too many strips these days which were once good, but had declined when the artist has just kept going and going, recycling the same jokes. Sure it's a shame that Bill Watterson stopped when he did, but I still prefer it to having stale and repetative strips.

I thought that Bloom County had a good run, but when he brought about the strip Outland, that was just repetative.

[edit] actually if you liked Bloom County, then you might also enjoy Liberty Meadows. This strip has just recently ended as well, but the website is running them daily over again. [/edit]

Liberty Meadows is also being re-printed in comic book format by Image Comics. Inexpensive way to collect 'em. Not as funny as Bloom county, but Frank Cho is a great artist.

do you know what happened in the storyline after the strip ended. I haven't bought the comic book continuation. Does Brandy end up marrying Roger? or does Frank manage to stop it?

Sorry, but I haven't read the full series' continuity. Cho's site reprints a lot of the strips, and has a lot of other interesting things for LM fans.
