Yep, I still have that shifting problem I described above (I think I was using 1.4 before)
temp fix-I created a batch file to copy a good studio.xnf into the settings directory at every logon.

I've recently been having a little problem with this skin. When i have the notifier on, and i change tracks about 10 times in quick succession (not super-fast switching, usually let each song play a second or two, then switch the song), Winamp decides to just close. I'm using the latest version of Winamp and the skin.

It isn't a big problem for me because i only turn on the notifier for new albums/bands that i'm going to listen to using Winamp, but i thought i'd let you know about it anyway.

What settings do you have the notifier set on? Which animation and how long is the holdtime? Just want to try to duplicate your settings and see if I have the same problem. I've been randomly playing different tracks for just a second or two as you did, but no sudden closes yet. Please give me some more info and I'll try to help.

Have had a few problems with 1.4 (cover pictures would jump and then winamp would close down) so I have updated to 1.5 and I have also had the jumping problem with the Media Library. It seems that if the ML window is actually connected to the main controls then the ML will jump but only if you use it to select an album.

It looks as though it is jumping to avoid the notifier window from coming across it. After messing with it a bit it does only seem to be happening if the windows are joined. If there is a gap then all seems well.

Hope this helps.

There is a problem with the latest winamp:

Instead of transparency under the title, it's showing an ugly pink colour.

Yeah, it's not good!

A French member of the Winamp community has made a patch for such problems though. Have a look at this thread

New problem (BTW, ax, about the last problem, it stopped happening. Sorry i didn't communicate that to you earlier. I was really busy.) I have the same kinda deal as Trex, except that behind the text, i have a green bar.

Would the link posted two posts up fix this?

Edit: Nevermind, it did.

Even though the above link fixed the problem, everything was in French, and i ccouldn't read a thing! I tried reinstalling Winamp and clearONE, and it helped, but now it's down to just the Media Library, and the green bars came back.

http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/2717/french3sr.jpg

I'm mostly looking for help on the French part. I have a thread pulled up that may fix the green bars, so i'm not too worried about that.

hi,

i havent test this but this might fix all the ugly green images.

add a transparent 1x1 png file and add in the element definition:

<bitmap id="wasabi.bitmapnotfound" file="blank.png" />

I already have the green bars fixed, although, when i got the fix, that was what people were saying to do. A guy did the hard work (ie. making that change) in all the necessary .xml files and zipped them up. Unfortunately, i can't find that post again.

Edit: So i lied. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....e&pagenumber=5

It's near the bottom, by Hurby. There's two, one is clearONE_fix and the other is simplicity_fix. Put the files into the drive:/program files/winamp/skins/clearone/xml folder.

actually you dont need to replace all elements on the xml, just the add that 1 line plus the blank.png and it should fix all the green bug.

I would doubt that it's the skin making the ML turn French, far as I know you don't get any control over the ML component other than changing it's colours.

Installed any French language packs? , does the ML appear French when using any other skin?

Try CTRL+P > Preferences > General Preferences > Language , what's listed there, can you pick a new language using the drop down menu?

I only have the Winamp Classic skin installed, other than ClearONE. It is still in French. Under preferences, English (U.S.) is there, and it's the only option.

It changed to French after i installed that thing a couple posts up (also posted below).

strange image

I love this skin. My only beef is that there is some green image in the song scroll area and all vis areas in the playlist and media library. I do not see this on your screenshot. Is there a way to disable this?

Here are all the fixed skins, extract the zip files in the Winamp\Skins\ directory and overwrite the files.

clearONE.zip (392 KB)
clearONEbeta.zip (144 KB)
SimplicityClear.zip (172 KB)
Simplicity.zip (143 KB)

Note: I also edited the Command Scripts from the clearONE skin so they should also work if you haven't installed Winamp in the default directory (C:\Program Files\Winamp\).

Hi...I have what I believe is probably a stupid question.

I just recently installed ClearONE 1.5 on Winamp 5.24. I'm loving it and not having any real problems per se...

However...how can I call up the "notifier" to view the track I'm listening to? The streaming AAC+ radio I listen to only pops that information up at the beginning of each track(but sometimes not at all). So is there a key stroke to bring it foreward?

This isn't the "station info", as nothing appears there. It has all the playback information for standard files as well. I see how to adjust how the notifier displays, but not keystroke to bring it up when I want to see the track information. Or is there a place I can click on the player? I know there's an option to have it display the track information on the player itself, but I'd rather not do that as it rarely displays the full field and I'd prefer to keep the player compact.

Thanks!

Winamp Preferences -> Global Hotkeys -> Action="Playback: Show notification", set the keystroke to whatever you want.

Hello there.
I'm experiencing high CPU usage on this skin .
clearONEbeta is quite normal, but on songs with VBR winamp shows up to 30% of CPU usage (because of quickly changing kbps I think). On other songs its only 0 to 5%.
clearONE 1.5 and Simplicity loads much bigger - 3-8% on cbr songs and up to 25-30% on vbr.
Default Winamp Modern skin loads from 0 to 5% on any songs.
Could you please fix this behaviour? I really like your skin, but it CPU load drives me insane.
I have Intel P4 1800Mhz CPU with 1Gb RAM.
Thx in advance

Unhappy

..any news about a new version?

have the cover.maki error! clean install of wa5.31, switch to clearONE/clearONEbeta, works fine with local media files. Play a internet radio channel wa switch back to classic skin, after restart, cover.maki error! Deleting studio.xnf & winamp.ini doesnt help! Disable cover art/smooth option doesnt help!

*sniff* clearONE is the best usable skin and i can't use it!

Ok, i think it is not a major problem of clearONE ..many other skins crashes also and switch back to classic skin.

olari:
Though, with help of filemon I discovered that when using skin, winamp tries to open "c:\program files\winamp\http:\cover.jpg", so I deleted from scripts directory cover.maki and deleted from xml\xml.gui one row: <include file="xui-cover.xml"/>

..this works not on clearONE ..what the hell??!!

aww that sucks, im pretty sure there has to be a way just 1 of the files that has the folder.jpg option just needs to be edited to also add a specified directory with the %artist% - %album%.jpg code.

Wrong.
I've been using ClearOne and Beta for ages now and I've never come across the error while playing streaming radio until I installed the latest version of Winamp on my second computer. Uninstalled, installed a previous version, and it fixed my problem.
