Not sure I'm doing this tilty screenshot thing correctly

But seriously, I think I'm about done with a skin for the first time in... (checks)... over two years? Hmm, feels like longer. I don't think I'll be adding cursors to it, but it's still a possibility. Bugs? Suggestions that won't require much work?

Here's a real screenshot:

Cool stuff, tried making a skin that featured the expanding circles off the play button once myself, never did anything other than that though.

Very nice and very much in your style

Nice style. Might not need the drop shadows, everything else looks very flat and smooth.

Thanks for the quick comments, guys! Luigi, I think you may have a point about the shadows. Looking at it without the shadows, that solves a few tiling problems and I think makes it look better in general. I'll see if I can get a version done without them for testing soon.

Edit: Even more convenient, the drop shadows stop exactly on the boundaries of every element they could have overlapped in the main window.

Alright, shadowless version is up at the same link. Also updated the screenshot (but the slanty stays as is).

Can you expand the border of the text window a bit?, it looks like ass if you don't use a skinned font, and as the default setting is to not use skinned fonts....

I know I know, I really didn't like how the skinned font looked with the huge space around it, but since you asked so nicely... maybe.

Only thing I'd suggest now is to fade or blue the outlines to the no-longer-shadowed rectangles, as the single-pixel borders still stand out a bit.

Oh, and the pressed states for the cbuttons (other than play and open) are a bit bland. Perhaps you could "invert" the circular area around the icon, so that it has the same impression as the play button does.

Like it a lot even as-is, though.

You have an odd numbers.bmp file in the archive that doesn't seem to match up to the rest of the skin.

Yeah, picky picky picky I know

Alright, here's the newest version, with a corrected numbers.bmp and faded borders as per Luigi's suggestion. I like having some borders, but the fact that they were so dark was a symptom of my original idea that those panels were separate from the rest of the skin--which of course is not a good thing if I want the skin to be as nice as possible. So thanks for that one, Luigi. On the other hand, I left the cbuttons as they are since I like them fine as they are, and since they're consistent with the pressed states of other items in the skin.

Edit: Also updated the slanty screenshot to reflect all the changes.

Edit 2: And while I'm here, is it just my computer, or did the last Winamp version break the easter egg titlebar? I've noticed that certain shortcuts (specifically Alt+S) have taken priority in places they didn't before (for instance I used to always close the jump to file window with Alt+S after enqueuing a file; now that just brings up the skin dialog), so it's apparent they've been messing around with keyboard entry.

If there are no other comments, I think I'm ready to put together the release version after a couple updates to the readme.
