Pictures of the war (strong images)

While looking for pictures of the day I found so many pictures of the war, I think they really show what kind of physical and psychological effort all people involved need to make. It doesn't matter if you're pro or anti this war, when seing these pictures I think that all of you need to pray/cross your fingers/whatever fits to your beliefs that this will be over soon and the people over there don't need to experience more things like shown on the pictures (and you all know that in wars worse things happen than in these pics, they're har, less compared to the true horror of war):

US Sergeant Jesse Lanter carries his wounded comrade Barry Lange away from the battlefield.

Badly wounded, this Iraqi is sitting on the ground. He was arrested near Basra.

Ally soldiers carry a wounded Iraqi out of the harbor area near Umm Kasr (sp?)

On Fau, British soldiers look at two dead Iraqui that have been thrown into this ditch together with a white flag.

In Camp Pensylvania in Kuweit US soldiers mourn for their comrad Christopher Seifert. He died because another soldier threw a granade into his tent.

British soldiers wrapped the body of a dead Iraqi soldiers into a blanket.

Right. That needed to be dragged into this thread, too, because there aren't a dozen others discussing that already.

Look hard at those images, and imagine them multplied by thousands, then place those images on American soil. That is what will happen if we let Saddam stay in power.

, I don't see how you come to that conclusion. There is no way Iraq could put up a feasable fight in America which is about 4-5000 miles away, heck they're unable to do it in their back yard. Let Saddam stay in power and don't start a war, then no Americans will die.

There is no evidence that Iraq is planning any terrorist acts against America. You know like there was before 11/9 but the US convieniently ignored it. Where did that come from again? Oh yeah, Germany.

On 11th Sept 2001 I was wanking all day.

ertmann|CPH, I've changed your image links to regular urls and posted a warning on the thread about clicking them, those images are a little too graphic to display in here.

While I'm not about shielding people from the harsh realities of war, I do have the feelings of other members to take into account, please try and remember that there are a lot of young people who visit these forums, and we don't want a horde of angry parents battering the door down cos little johny is having nightmares about the "corpse he saw on winamp.com"

I've comprimised and left the link up, as I feel they are valid to the thread, please think carefully next time before posting something similar, that goes for anyone else as well.

If you wish to discuss further, please contact me via PM.

it is not very hard to notice how many
people here enjoy watching about war on tv...
how would some of you feel if war came to your
home, would you like to watch your neighbours
(a well - ai), friends or family being killed.
yeah, they smashed afganistan... i have heard
bin laden send em a postcard several months later....
you think they will ever give you information
of how many people was killed there? or kids?

it is easy to talk about mass killing "there somewhere"...
fall of the twin towers was something really bad to happen,
but what is going in iraque now is 10 or 100 times worse...
have nice dreams... dream you are child there,
without a family or a place to hide, waiting for your turn...

i know how it looks like.
is there anyone alse here who knows how it looks like?

no? use your imagination...

no worries jones, i understand - won't happen again

But people please do click on them, that's how war is like. (provided you can handle it offcourse, they are realy vivid)

I think alot of people who are pro war, thinks the war is like they show it on CNN - it's not, it's 10.000 times more horrid

Those pics and as Ertmann said -the real thing happening is 10,000 more- show that this war is not a 'Fun game' or a video game as some like to watch it on TV and wow for it as in wrestling.
To me what is more sickening than this dirty war is how some are watching it with enthusiast and pleasure.
