You could try coding it via Winamp Party Shuffle I guess. Sky's the limit there pretty much if you can.

a script FOR a plugin. Instructions here: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....tid=2641948#21 , and a batch Installer (run as admin) if you need it: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....tid=2641948#31

Edit: Scratch that.. those attachments were lost I guess.. I'm not on my home computer right now so I can't upload but I'll see what I can do tomorrow night.

A thought occurs:
1: Generate your random playlist with no thought to final size.
2: Use gen_yar to copy the playlist files (make sure you use the option to have it name the copies with the playlist position in the filename).
3: Start removing files from the tail end of the copy until you come under your target size.

The point being that the first 16GiB of a larger of a larger playlist will be equally as random as the full playlist itself. This does however assume you have the hard drive space to spare to create these temporary copies, and weren't simply planning on copying straight to your portable device.
