Winamp and IPod 80GB

Hey folks,

I am using Winamp v5.621 (x86) on a Windows 7 64bit system. I have an IPod 80GB classic (5th gen). Both ITunes and Windows recognize the hard drive as having 74GB free. At most, I have only installed 7-10GB of music on the IPod.

Recently, I decided to put all of my music on the IPod (45GB worth). After installing about 32GB of music, Winamp stopped installing. Windows showed there was no space left on the hard drive until I closed down Winamp and then the IPod was recognized as having plenty of space.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

[edit]
I did a fresh restore using ITunes several times during this process.

Thanks...
Al
