That's right. Any component can open in the Winamp-2006's component holder. If you're asking for a button for it(like the vid, vis & lib have), I can maybe try this again, but last time I tried this it didn't want to open any 3d party plugins.

ClassicPro© v2.01 : This plugin allows you to use cPro skins in Winamp. ClassicPro skins are all SUI skins and loads very quickly. ClassicPro skins is even easier to skin than Winamp Classic skins. A new layout have been added since version 2.

build022 coming soon...

Fixes so var:

:build022
- Now using MSPP v0.18
- Fixed big memory leak issue
- Sliders for frames is faster
- Added more modes to timer
- Replaced cover with MSPP:Cover XUI
Cover can now fade & slide (+ more)
- Added up/down button for playlist(MSPP 0.18)
- Winamp will save settings before shutdown
- ...more? Any suggestions?

Since MSPP 0.18 can simulate keyboard shortcuts I can add buttons to simulate shortcuts. So if there is a shortcut that you would like to have a button for I'll see what I can do.

Will probably release it by the end of the month.(The skin should auto update)

To see a preview of how the cover will look you can take a look at the attachment and edit the params in skin.xml for different animations.

Would be so great to implement a button that can be assigned by the user for opening individual Plugin-windows..

Saivert updated a new thinger, he extended the old thinger to let plugins submit icons and they would show up in thinger. http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=143015 all that he learned from that is that its hard to convince plugin creators to include icons.

That plugin is old. The thinger works 100% as far as I know and the thinger is only there for backward compatibility with winamp3 skins.

Yes, I had something like this in mind. I'll add one extra button that the user can use for a extra plugin of choice.

Pjn, That would be great, but could the no. of buttons be user defined as well? That way, maybe in the settings/options, the user will define the no. of tabs required and accordingly that many boxes appears where in the user puts in the hotkey (shortcut). Clicking on that button would simply invoke the shortcut!

Hope this will not be difficult ... and yes, would be nice if it can be put into the NMP 10 and the winamp 2006 skins!

Cheers

though it never integrated in completely as the one built into gen_ff does and really this was only best for classic skins where i think most users weren't all that interested in using it. i don't doubt that it was important for a number of people but i don't think from what i remember it was really seen as a must have

Well firefox is better.. better than IE, but Opera is the best. You can add a button anywhere for any option. Anyway I don't think tabbed browsing will make it into the next skin since that's why you get internet browsers. I think I'll remove the browser in the next skin or al lease make the default off since it mess with the cursors and slows the skin down.

winamp 2006 build017 skin color

winamp 2006 build 017 is a modern skin
in this skin you have 1 color preset default
i have a solution for have more color preset
1:change the extention file wal on zip
2:unzip the skin
3:search the file color preset.xml(138k) in winamp modern skin
4:copy the file color preset on winamp 2006build017\xml
5:zip the skin and change the extention file zip on wal
and you have a winamp 2006build 017 skin modified

you must have winamp modern pack plus to run this skin

Winamp 2006 for Car (plus bug report)

I love this skin -- the first to have ratings in the main window!!!

I have noticed a minor bug... if you right click on the Song name and select Ratings, it doesn't match up with the Ratings stars at the top of the main window.

I built myself a computer that goes in my car. It runs at 640x480 because you can't see small fonts well (less than 16 points). A 7" diagonal screen means that your finger pushes on alot of pixels (touchscreen interface). I was wondering if perhaps your skin could be modified so that on long car trips I could use your skin to rate songs using my car computer's small LCD screen. It would need a simpler display, but similar to what you already have, except that buttons would need to be gigantic.

Would it be possible to make a derivative skin?

Thanks

I've just been trying this out and overall its on a good start... Just some things with the UI color scheme, its not very customizable using the color editor...

button text can't be changed to white.. with a darker buttons, and white text

quite a lot of other text colors can't be changed either

other things like the background colour overlays everything like icons etc so most images looked washed out..

also is it possible to remove the title bar, and instead have it replaced with the default windows themed title bar? The current one looks very out of place if you're not using that same visual style theme.

overall though it is nice and i'll keep checking on its progress

My signature was just too damn good to be seen here..

working on my own skin mod for this GUI now.. anyway specifically which files to I need to edit to change the black text to white.. here is example of where I am at, only been using this GUI a few hours now but it seems like the next best replacement for the other SUI skin.

http://img484.imageshack.us/img484/1292/capture8gx5.jpg

really want to rip out all those default xp style buttons, and replace them.. that bottom section is a bit un tidy at the moment to. Also is it possible to hide/show the display tab(Cover,Tag etc) that appears underneath the playlist?

Already busy with Winamp+07 (Winamp-2006 will be renamed and rereleased as Winamp+06)...

Will be using a Windows Vista theme with a relayout of some areas...

But Azenis 2 is still a much better SUI IMO.... try the early development build (65% complete) found in the sc forum.... see signature...

well had a look at Azenis and apart from it having the ability to actually click on the file path of a song and have it open the folder in explorer... there wasn't much else to like about it.. i won't be bothering with that one..and a playlist on the left hand side? bah forget that

i see no reason why any main component is restricted when windowholders are used, so you should be able to have a pl in any of the 4 main panels

Pjn123, I've been using Winamp since 2005 and I just discovered your super awesome Winamp_2006 skin last week. Sorry to bring this old thread up, but if someone else who never hear of this skin can find it's usefulness too in 2017, then all the better.

This skin works so smooth with version 5.666 on Windows 10 64bit. This skin is like a surgical knife in that it does everything and more. I was using and enjoying your Azenis 2 skin but I have to say that Winamp_2006 is absolutely perfect for my use. It really kicks the llama's ass, haha!

So from the future in 2017, thank you for the work you put into this in 2006. The gift that keeps on giving! :-)
