all time favorite game?

I was reading another thread that brought this to mind.

What is your all time favorite video game? Mine definitely is Mike Tyson's Punchout!

.... I'm glad they've made a new one and I'm excited to give it a try. Mr. Tyson's legal troubles robbed us of the greatest game there is.

Punch-out for the Wii is quite fun. Though to be serious about the game, you need to drop the motion controls and go old skool.

My all time mostest bestest game of all time would have to be Quake 3: Arena

when I was a kid, I also really liked Mutant League Hockey and Mutant League Football.

I don't really like the sports games, but these made it more adventurous.

Suikoden 2 is my most favorite. I already played it more than 10 times but I still manage to finish it every time I want to play it.

Suikoden 2 is totally awesome, and definitely the best in that series. Totally one of my favourite games ever too :3

Other votes from me go to Grim Fandango, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, Uncharted and Starfox 64.

My favorite games are the Half Life and Halo series. I also loved playing Goldeneye on N64. And the Sim City and Sims series for non-first person shooters.

F-Zero was awesome. After years of playing it I finally was able to beat it on the hardest skill. The music wasn't bad either.

Games that wasted the most of my time:

C&C: Red Alert 2 (with Yuri's Revenge)
NFS 4 and 5 (car handling is more important than graphics IMO. The control you have over a car in those games just owns any other racing game)
Super Mario 3 (for the NES)
GTA Vice City (all others suck)
Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (great music)
Stunts (creating impossible tracks is still cool)
Commander Keen 4&5 (well, you have to know all secrets, right?)

I'm now playing Deus Ex again. It still rocks

I love that game! It came with my first PC along with G Police.
(of course once you knew the cheats that kinda ruined it :/)
I feel like digging out the disc for it now.

Oh Oh, Roller Coaster Tycoon.

I really can't pick a favorite, but the Socom Navy Seals series was fun. Since I'm an avid golf player, Tiger Woods PGA Tour is another good series. And, James Bond 007 Nightfire was a good one, also.

I don't have a favorite per se but here are a few that would vie for such a position...

Legend of Zelda (NES Original)
Mega Man 2
Super Mario World
Mario Kart (SNES iteration)
Super Metroid
Castlevania IV
Shinobi 3
Sonic CD
Half-Life 2
Tetris (particularly the original game boy version)

Mine all time favourite game is none other than Super Mario which gives lots of adventure and it is very cute game. Super Mario is the best game with the simple concept and addicting. But some of the steps are to hard to complete the stage. It gives thrill to play the game and excitement to score the highest points as well as completion of the all stages. This game can also be played online.

still Battlefield 1942

I have the full version plus all extensions, but none of them are remotely as fun as the original online multiplayer demo from '02

My very first favorite game were Mario that I played on Nintendo, very long time ago, when computers were unknown to me.
From the new generation, I liked NFS Underground.
And from the present 2010 generation I like Mafia II and GTA IV.

I must have been playing Age of Empires for about 10 years now so I guess its safe to say that Age of Empires is my favorite game. I however LOVE Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Cant wait for the new Call of Duty. Should be out in a few weeks.
