Lee an ever so insightful to your talent towards the dark side ...

And welcome Montana. Eternily Timeless, is a real good expresive work. I have to admit it touched a nerve, as it is currently how I feel about mine. But due to that as well, I have taken a pro-active role and starting to change my life. Hopefully for the better.

Here is something for today.

: I love you
Quote:
Never a day passes by
without me thanking GOD
for giving me the chance to love you

Not in a million life times
will I give up this bond we share
for it is the shining star
in my darkest hour
which lead me to a new found strength
moving on to a life better

I only wish I could do more
to tell you what I really feel inside
filled up with nothing else but your smiles
and dreaming about nothing but you
If only you can see inside of me
you will know and understand
you are the only reason that I am

I woke this morning, and realize that I have been saying the same prayer everynight before I sleep, and the same thought comes the minute I open my eyes. Strange how girls can make a boy's life hell and paradise at the same time.

Will talk to you guys later.

Sometimes it is just being me that counts

Came from a conversation that I was having in another thread ...

: The nature of things
Quote:
Worry not about tommorow
for tommorow is but a dream
and even if tommorow never comes
know that nothing is as it seems

And dwell not in the distant past
for yesterday are but dusts long gone
and memories of faint odours
it lives but to tell a tale
a story of how we soar

Thus see life the way it is
and know it as it should be
Remembering the past as a lesson learned
Planning for the future as a story untold
But live in the present and understand
that Now is the only reality which we hold
and thats how nature unfolds

Maybe later I will have wisdom to gain more to know that I have less.

thank you for reading ..

: Poetry, a journey
Quote:
share with us
what you think and see
we will like to be part you thee
as the poet journeys on
They look ahead and not their feets

a sudden ourburst of creativity. .. enjoy

Sometimes it is just being me that counts

: An Irish Blessing
By: Unknown Author
Quote:
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Ever notive the word "Listen" contains the same letters as "Silent"

: Silent Listen

Quote:
Every now and then
listen to the silent heart,
and hear what it says
so you'll know
what will make you happy.

Enjoy.

: The candle and its light
Quote:
If it was mine to give
you can have it all
yet the truth is that
the choices lay in you

I can't give you courage
in which you don't have
I can't give you strength
that you don't posses

I can't right all the wrongs
nor can I take the pain from your eyes
what I can only do
is to listen to your cries

What can come from me
is my sollem sigh
an acceptance to the fact
that somethings are beyong my sky

You will have to reach inside
and find your own relief
as only you can open your eyes
and see the candle that I lighted

An enjoyable reading?
perhaps.

good night people.

Bright Death by Montana

Sister of night
In your saddest dress
As you walk through the light
Youre desperate to impress
So you slide to the floor
Feeling insecure

And so I see ...

Montana, that second poem that you posted is really impresionable. I mean the simplicity of the words and the way that you articulate it is a really a refreshing change from my poem pattern of poetry.

Nice to have you as a steady contributer.

Will have something for you guys a bit later today.

Talk to you all later.

Far Away

Do not let the passing of days
Sweep through while you
Stand, uncontented, far away
And detached
Do not be replaced by
A stranger
The pseudo-self
Who looks exactly like you
But with a world of differences
Inside

Nightflower

it was the winter
life stopped
my mind is running
it became darker
anger calmed her down
time went faster
her face was bleeding
love became surreal
under the bridge
reunite my body

DISAPPEAR

If I close my eyes
would you disappear?
If I flew away
Would you still be here?
If someone stole my breath
Would you shed a tear?
Will you melt away?
Will you disappear?

I am full of sun
And I am full of clouds
I may never know myself
But we all have our doubts.
So if I let you hold me
And even see within
Would you hold me tighter still
knowing all I've been?

For although those days have passed me by
and I stand stronger now,
I am my past and my future too.
It makes me more alive somehow.
So hold on to my dreams and my strife
and to the tears I've cried
for no matter who's been in my mind before
It is with you I want tomorrow to lie.

So if I close my eyes
would you disappear?
And if I mistakenly fly away
would you still wait here?
And if someone stole my only past
would you shed a tear?
Will you melt away?
Will you disappear?
I will not fade away,
and I cannot disappear.

hehe, yet another. Interesting. This is what happens when stats class bores the living daylights out of me, which is - oh, everyday!

SKY IS SKY

I gaze along the dream of life
along the shores of my ocean
My eyes are blurred
my breath is shallow
my voices echoes through this sea

A dream merely I am here
My song is fading away
I fall through the past
Until suddenly I scream
As my eyes have opened wide

The sky, it is sky,
and my feet are my feet
Making footprints in this sand.
There is nothing that's not
And everything is no longer a dream.

Our paths have been tarnished
by such forward motion
and everything means something
means everything else.

It all is now tainted
so that even sky is not sky
but a far and unreachable destination
for anyone else.

And so I say
The sky, it is sky
and my feet are my feet
making footprints in this sand.
There is nothing that's not
and everything is no longer a dream.

Just reach out with your hand
to touch that rose
to taste that bread
to burn that candle
long and through
this darkened night.

The sky is only sky
blue or gray or black
and it too has been touched.

The sky is sky
and feet are feet
making small footprints in loose sand.
There is nothing that is not
and everything is not a dream.

Faded Reflections by Lee

Twilight approaches above the horizon;
I, standing here all alone
Twitching and shaking in unison;
The inner darkness has shone.

Life passes me by in a blur;
Shards of memories fade out
The burning candle in my heart,
One cold wind, fire gets blown out.

Thoughts run through my mind, suicidal;
Sickly images flash, genocidal;
Father killing mother, homicidal;
So.....maniacal....

Scars bear many resemblances to life;
Some made by the edges of a knife;
I see them as if they're talking to me;
Wanting the pain to stop, wanting to leave.

Inner child, silent in a dark corner;
No longer crying, but accepting the hands of death,
Body shaking, not getting any warmer;
Fading from me, nothing is left.

sscw46, <Far Away> is to my honest oppinion the best work you have done so far on this thread. Bravo. the emotions you bring up when I read it is are intense and soul moving. Good Job.

Montana <nightflower>, simple as it might seem in words, You lost me in its actual meaning. For some reason, I felt as if it was talking about the creation of life. Either the action or the outcome, but it gave me a distint feeling that it was based on that one concept.

Xara. Ah yes, the boredom of the everyday classrooms ... .. I know the feeling. I think my text books are filled with more poems that I have in my entire poetry booklets. Anyway, <Dissapear> is a sweet poem that really touches my hear, especially when I read this
Quote:
So if I close my eyes
would you disappear?
And if I mistakenly fly away
would you still wait here?
And if someone stole my only past
would you shed a tear?
Will you melt away?
Will you disappear?
Really touching. As for <Sky is sky>, it seems like another version of <Dissapear>, though the words might not be the same, but when I read it, the melody gives the same vibration to my heart.

Ah Lee, it has been sometime no? Your gothicness have not left you ... but seem to be a bit milder than usual. Can I say that it is a good sign of moving towards to a more open view to life? <Faded Reflections>, good work.

Here is my contribution after 3 days on silence.

: Thread of life
Quote:
Hanging on a single thread
of thin self redemption
I rethink the past as the present
and imagine doing it all over again

Saying the words I don't mean
telling a lie from within
breaking the one thing that was mine
and crying tears from inside

Having to rid the pain so severe
like a storm without pears
breaking my only soul support
my principles and my thoughts

As I end this suffering
I come to terms with my sin
have to approach the matter in sight
with dignity and with might
accepting my punishment with an open heart
I can walk again with head held high

Enjoy.

Memories

As I sit in the park, I go through memories…
Memories of a past life,
Memories of a vanished world.
I thought I had it all.
When I was a youngster,
I thought I was going to be six forever.
When I was a teenager,
I thought I was on top of the world.
When I was a juvenile man,
Success was in my eyes.
When I had the accident,
I became what I am now.

I had a lot, a career, a good house…
But the intersecting car took away my placates,
My wife, my children…
And traded them with pain and nightmares.
No insurance, what was I thinking?
The next day my house was raided,
And all was stolen.
It was all planned,
And I don’t know who planned it.

But I’m okay…
A little insane,
A little hungry for revenge.
But I still have the memories,
The reminiscences of a good life.

Cleanup,

As always, it is nice to hear from old friends.

Just wanted to drop by and say hi to you, before you disappear again.

Today's contribution.

: Till hell do us part
Quote:
What is it that makes us take
all those punishment which they give
the tantrums, the scolding, the long finger nails
each hurtful and cuts deeply

A slow reply to a question
will bring hell upon our day
a quick reply to an action
will bring death upon our graves

Yet why do we put up with these anyway
is it the five minutes of paradise
or is it the one hour of grilling
which either one can be a severe insult to the brain

So I give up on the guessing
nor do I care much for the living
I just want to know
when can I sleep again
without her inside of me nagging
a-men

A twist from my loving self. ... not really my story, but a friend of mine which caught hell becauase he was 15 minutes late. Go figure.

Enjoy.

OCEAN-SONG

back into the ocean
I feel the cool
waters
swirling in a whirl
above my head
and the sleek careening
waves
crash down
upon my head
I froth up in the foam
of icy salt again
but winter is no more
sweet ocean draw me in
I drift out from the shore
once more
looking back from the sea
I become the waters
melting into me

here's another one from me guys, brand new, insprired both by wildse and xara.

Quote:
Every step and every
stride i take along this
line is but a tracing
in the sand; an imprint
of the moment.

And every footprint
left is washed away, and
every pause brings heavy
clouds around my feet
to catch me here.

But far to swift i stand, and
all the spinning world is left
behind these weary arms and back;
listen, the air is singing
of it's journey uncontained.

And all the boundless
joy the singing wind
has brought is caught
between my eyes and the
soft horizon.
needs a title though.... any thoughts?

Thank you, izchan!

Here's another one (and of course, no title )

Quote:
Crudely scratched on the back of a chair:
A reminder of that glorious year

Each two-digit number more defined than the rest
Of the primitive etchings among the colorful mess.

The deep grooves still remain, and I'm glad that they're there.
It's much more profound than a surface that's bare.
It's much too intriguing to sit and not stare,
Which is why I admire the back of that chair.
This was also squeezed out of me from the boredom that was literally choking me ALIVE in Study Hall.

wildsegolily ... ah ... the ocean song ... lost me on the second phrase. .. Yet surprisingly, it calmed me down alot after reading it. I wonder why ? ...

Alan ... ...try <footprints on the sand> ... ... wanted to write a poem using that title once a long time ago, but never did. So I am giving it to you ...

And finally sscw46. yet another refreshing look into your mind. ... I am now starting to look forward to more of your works. as for the title try <story of a chair>

And todays contribution.

: The words of man
Quote:
What are in the words of man
that makes and break a world
why should anything change
when nothing perceived is real
Yet from here until eternity
we constantly seek an end
to the journey that we never asked for
a journey that which our blood stains

So what's in the word of man
that will heals and mends the soul
why should our life shatter
when a lie is told
maybe someday man will understand
that reality is ours to hold
only when we are one again
shall the truth unfold

The theme of this poem is integrity. An honesty between the things we say and the things we do.

Hope it helps.

Enjoy.

thanks for the thought, isaac, but i don't think i'll use it. Somehow, that's not really what it's about, but just a metaphor for stuff. that, and i like really short titles .

Good morning people.

Alan, no issue. The title was just a suggeston anyway. Let us know when you have decided on a title. I will love to know what it is that you will use ..

sscw46, you are welcomed. I am happy that I contributed.

And people .. if you are free, you might want to venture into nemesis site as well ... ... the look is cool ... ... thanks nemi. I will try to participate as much as I can, but I can't promise anything.

: if not you
Quote:
If not you
I do not what else is there
for me to look forward to every morning
and every evening when the sun goes down

If not you
what else is there for me to do
when I have all the money and time
with only loneliness sleeping by my side

If not you
I would not have known what a fool that I am
where you tell me that it was me that made things right
and I am the reason that you smile
if not you I will have never found mine

Wrote this while I was going to work this morning.
Yes .... a bit of a romantic ... but hey ... I don't mind being too mushy ...

Enjoy people ...

Just now I sat down at my computer and decided I wanted to write something. I thought it was going to be a short story at first... then it crossed my mind to do a dialogue, but for some reason neither of those came out and this is what I got. It's a bit pained... sad, wistful, melancholy- and overall it's tragic. I suppose I've been reading too much "Phedre" by Racine... it's a tragedy about a queen who falls in love with her step-son, if none of you are familiar with it.

IRONIES OF LOVE

I love you I love you I love you
She says
Words ring like ice through time
They slice through hearts
Those poisoned darts
They spell their deadly crime

I love you I love you I love you
She shouts
Across an empty void
Her voice she heard
Alone with her words
Pain she cannot avoid

I love you I love you I love you
She cries
An endless hope for life
She can’t escape
Painful self-rape
She draws her deadly knife

I love you I love you I love you
She dies
Words freeze to ice in time
They seal her lips
Her red heart rips
She loves, and that’s her crime

Carving a New Me by Lee

Picking up the stainless steel knife;
Preparing to carve out my new life;
Dipping it into my flesh, cold steel;
Penetrating my skin, it peels;
Carving intricate patterns into my skin;
Pentagrams and crosses, original sin;
Watching my coarse blood ooze from the pores;
My body and mind equal, wanting more;
More blood that pours from my wounds;
The sexual feeling makes me swoon;
As if enjoying this sexual fantasy;
Carving a new me....

Feel My Pain by Lee

You know you can feel my anger;
That dwells inside this mind:
It's causing me so much pain;
Dammit, I'm going insane!!!

Blood boils at a furious rate;
The heart nearing its fate;
Feel my anguish and pain;
Fuck you, I'm going insane!!

What did you do????
You knew this ain't cool....
I screamed for your mercy in vain
But, no you let me die in pain....

Black Eden by Lee

Surrounding my black garden;
Reborn as a new soul;
Wisping mists, surround it;
And the blood fountain turns cold.

This is my hideout, my secret place;
Pondering my thoughts alone;
With the blood running down my face;
I shall call this my home.

The walls are covered in ivy and thorns;
Twisted branches shelter my body;
There's no one here but me;
Parents say I was just a nobody.

My garden can be enchanting;
With its deep green grass and pools the color of my eyes;
Beautiful music echos on the wind,
Whispering beauty thats only found in lies...

Even though the moon glows clearly;
It rains here every night;
Inside those tears from heaven,
All my darkness turns to light...

I live here;
In my garden that I call pain;
Thats the reason its so precious,
To live without it would be in vain...

or perhaps if you read these poems, you have the common sense to slow down in the life you lead. Perhaps you have the sense to find an ounce of truth in someone else's words. Perhaps you might find something that guides you in this world of dreams and harsh realities.

And now a poem, inspired by my screen name, which was inspired by a flower that once grew in my back yard. It's called the sego lily, and is the state flower of Utah. I never knew that detail until last year. I think the white ones are the prettiest of them all- they're best when they're wild in a mountain meadow. I gave them the nickname snowlilies (hence the title of my poem).

SNOWLILIES
a petal falls back
my heart shines white
wrapped in silver lining
throughout the night
as I rest beneath the moon

I am a blooming flower
bathing in the light
a sego lily shining
loving, burning bright
as I rest beneath the moon

I am free forever
my heart flies tonight
a wild lily dancing
with the stars tonight

poems.. please

Good lord. Poetry is for the liberal minded. I go by the laws of physics, and am an engineer at heart.

My friend marshall gave me a poem to put up anyway though. It's kinda funny.

I'm keepin it raw,
illegal like malique and jammal.

Cuz i dont believe in the law,
like im Steven Segull.

Flipping off the police while im leaping the wall,
take a bunch of tylenol and fall asleep in the mall.

I got ur little son, you'll be recieving a call.
You're lucky this little punk's breathin at all.

Alpha Pi Lambda Fraternity... never dry, baby...

i get laid more than fritos - Ludacris

Some song lyrics I wrote to fit to a melody, so they're not the greatest, but, hey, if you could hear the song, it'd be great!

May I

I don't know what we've got goin' here
I wish I could tell you
If I knew what we've got goin' here
Then I'd know what to do
All I know is that I want you here
Is that too much to say
Please don't make me beg and plead you dear
You need to want to stay.

May I love you right?
May I love you well?
May I love you tonight?
May I love you . . .

Now you know that you've been here before
Don't act so innocent
I said to come more 'round my door
You know this is what I meant.
And here we wait and smile again
As the sun sets on today
i wonder when the wonder ends
and so finally I say:

May I love you right?
May I love you well?
May I love you tonight?
May I love you . . .

And somewhere here there's a story told
Some old story that always grows old
If we can fight through this weary night
Would you stay with me . . .

Love, Ruth

Krunked, please. No personal insults. There's no such thing as a solid definition of a "life" to live by.

Krunked-

Einstein believed that imagination was the key to a successful scientific mind... creativity can be for everyone. I don't see how someone can be a successful engineer without creativity or imagination, and those are the things that poetry is made of. It takes a clever mind to understand the laws of physics, and it takes a clever mind to understand poetry. I personally love science and math... but that doesn't keep me from loving poetry.

Well said, wildsegolily.

Here's another contribution to this thread...

Quote:
Here

These ill-fitting surroundings
Are reeking of the hopeless stench
That forms a film over his skin
Seeping in,
It taints him to the core
Nervous eyes flitting
Taking in the wretched view
He gazes down and sees the ground
Stain upon stain
Forever imbued in the woven mess
Beneath his feet
But in this low point of his life
He thinks
Anyone can reach Here
And anyone can leave Here.

Gone for a while

krunkedup187, hello there. Nice to see that you have come by and gave some comments. Even though the words you set out might sting. I still welcome constuctive critism. So your opinion that the thread is too long to read? Well.. most of the guys on this thread had been participating for sometime now ... so it does not really seem BIG to them, like me ... i just tend to read the last page as those the newer postings. But once in a while, I will go back to the beginning and read from there. It kinds of becomes like a spritual journey for me. But then again ... ... it is just me.

As for your friends malcom's poem. .. it is funny. I had a nice hearty lough with it. If he will like to post more, please ask him to do so, either via you or using his own nick. We never turn down any contribution.

Wildse ... ... snowlily is nice. I love the way you did it. But the best yet will be <ironies of love> ... it had a true ring in its words. Definsately one of your best.

Lee as always ... gothic to the very end.

sscw46, <here> is true in every word. I feel it strongly. Keep it up.

: gone for a while
Quote:
It might have some time
before I realize
that I have left this placec
and gone on to another chase

Might not have remembered
if not for the aching heart
of the love I have left behind
building spider webs inside our minds

People might criticize
that we might waste our time
worst yet we are occused of
wasting away our life

Yet after all the heartaches
and crying our silent tears
we all return here eventually
after being gone for a while
getting to know ourselves again
with new found wisdom in our life

hope you enjoy this.

Am sitting in my room and came up with this poem while writing an application prototype for a client.

: The best thing in love
Quote:
If love was the best thing in life
you will be the best thing in love
for you are the reason
the sun rise in my life
and the seasons change in time
I have nothing to fear again
for because of you I am stronger

They might be times that you may doubt
and you will question my heart for you
but take this and remember it always
because of you I am better
because of you I am whole again

Know that everything else in life
is but a passing wander
to ultimately show me the way
into your heart again

Enjoy.

About a Girl by montana

she walks in her desert
black roses blossomed
birds was quivering
rain was falling from upstairs

she tries to finds peace in the jungle
hollow trees became bigger
flies attacks her daily
heavy burdons make her fall

she swims in her ocean
blue turns into yellow
creatures are fading away
she can't get up

she thinks about her garden
a sacret place
she saw persons intrude it
will her ever see this?

Thank you.

here is something for today

: Two of a kind
Quote:
Not a day goes by
without me wondering why
the reason for us to survive
in these vile place we call our own

Trees are burning down
and seas resides into murky gloom
Metal forest grows everywhere
yet santuary is none to be found

choking in our own work
protections are not around
principles are scarce
with no one to hold it sound

not a day goes by
without me wondering why
who is it that will kill the earth first
the devil we know
or the unknown evil that we live by

inspired by national geographic.

enjoy.

sadorf, ... yes .. definately one of 'great' talent. Jack be a little nimble next time ... ... i believe the medical expertise today can help out with the little 'accident' with jacks jumping career.

Here is today reflection

: Whats was left behind
Quote:
Butterflies upon his grave
tell a sad story indeed
died before him time
finished before it began

Laying silently inside his mind
no heat comings from his life
as if it was as it should be
a dead among the living

lifeless eyes look upon my soul
I get the jitters from its cold
where have all the passion gone
from this man I have once known

I say good bye to my friend
even if it gives me pain
as he has chosen his path today
to live his life among the dead

Good bye my friend of ages old
I bode you luck is yours to hold
for I move on now towards tommorow
where my life can begin anew
leaving behind the burdened soul

somehow this poem got out after I came back from a clients place ...
I wonder why?

enjoy.

Too many love songs will do this to a man ...

enjoy

: My Tower Light
Quote:
A picture of you stands by my bedside
the last face I see before I go into the night
the first I see when I open my eyes
the one thing that I associate with light

There is no reason for my being like this
some say that I was bewitched by your smile
I would rather like to think it was your soul
that took my breath away when you came into my life

You might not think much when I say the words
but to me it is the ultimate conviction
that I can express with my limited comprehension
the promise is not made to you but to me
for when I said forever
it is forever I commit my soul and mind
and you become my tower light

Sometimes it is just being me that counts
