Song History

Hallo People,
unfortunately, I have a problem once more.
In my Song History switches itself of the Auto DJ (sc_trans) in between, although a Moderator (no sc_trans DJ!) just sends.

I hope you can help me.

the DNAS is just reporting what the source is providing. if you're not happy with what is being shown then you need to investigate what is setup in the source being used at the time the title you don't like is noted (as it's really not clear from how you've worded your post as to what or who is providing it anyway).

Hey, thx for answer.

But My problem is, the trancoder connect every 10sec to the shoutcast stream and send the current titel of the auto dj to the history.

Although a moderator is probably on air.

sc_trans will send title updates when it determines there is a change in the song title so something is causing that to happen be it the media you're playing or the DJ or even someone is manually sending title updates to the DNAS server itself.

you really need to properly describe the setup you have and the versions of the tools being used as at the moment it sounds to me like things are working as expected even though it is not how you desire it to be.

Hi, to many thanks to for your trouble.
Unfortunately, I do myself a little bit hard to express myself properly with the English language.

I imagine that the Auto DJ must be kicked, so that a Moderator can send. So far everything claps. Up to the point where the Transcoder tries to connect again on the server.

Besides, the transcoder headlines the topical song of the Moderator, although he cannot connect to the server. As already said, a Moderator sends just. (Sry for bad english)

Now I want to present my configs:

sc_serv.conf
Quote:

banfile=control/sc_serv.ban
ripfile=control/sc_serv.rip

if i'm following things, you've got it running as sc_trans -> sc_serv but it then becomes moderator -> sc_serv ?

if this is so then for the 'moderator' then they ideally should do moderator -> sc_trans -> sc_serv and you'd need to setup djport, djport2, dj_login, dj_password and a DJ calendar event to allow it to connect.

that will ensure you've always got the autodj running but will then allow the specific moderator / DJ to connect.

if that's not what is wanted then i'm a bit confused, heh.

My problem lies in the fact that Moderators does not cosend his AIM or his station to name in the Transcoder. (By moderator -> sc_trans -> sc_serv)

Because we use a infusion for Php-Fusion, this is important, otherwise one cannot see who just sends.

ok, well there's nothing else i can suggest for the time being as i don't have any eta on when i'll get around to changing sc_trans to relay DJ metadata to the DNAS.

also if you're using a v2 DNAS, if it's set to be publically listed then the title the DJ would send via sc_trans (when it is eventually updated) would not be used as only the title specified against the authhash for the stream will be used - that will not be something which is going to be changed.

indicating a DJ is connected is something which is not too well handled with the v2 tools at the moment though i've looked to add a 'dj' value to the stream stats reporting which basically uses the 'dj/username' value for a v2 connection (such as is possible to set in the Source DSP), but that's still in the internal builds and sc_trans has no support for it yet - which doesn't help you out now but is something i have been trying to think of ways to improve.
