Seeker Bar Not Moving
Hello folks,
Searched and could not find the answer to my problem. As of a couple weeks ago, the seeker (progress) bar just stopped moving. The tracks play fine but seeker stays at 0:00. If you try to advance it, it disappears, but the track advances. I recently updated to 5.63, hoping it would fix the problem but to no avail (was previously using 5.621). This is happening on two machines w/ Vista. Thanks in advance... |

What else happened a couple weeks ago? Installed new software (plug-ins, updates, etc) or hardware? Did the systems have a sudden power drop (brown-out or black-out) that may have corrupted some files? Have you scanned for virus or malware infections?
I suggest a clean uninstall and reinstall of WA (instructions linked below) with no 3rd party plug-ins, if you use any. If everything is working correctly, add any 3rd party plug-ins back 1 at a time and check for proper operation after each one. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=161361#clean A clean uninstall will wipe out your media library database and any non-default options you have enabled. So you may want to make a list of any option changes or backup the database and configuration files you want to save. There is a tool to help you do this (link below). http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=317153 Windows 10 Home 64-bit v20H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system |

Thanks very much Aminifu..
I found the culprit. ASIO...Been using it for years without any problems on a bunch of devices and all of a suuden the seeker bar just stopped working a couple weeks ago. I never changed the settings once it was up and running years ago then it just stopped out of the blue. When outputting direct sound all is well and seeker bar moves. Has there been any changes or updates to the asio plugin? |

I've never used that one. Seems it was last updated in 2006. Users with Win 7 have reported problems with it. I suggest you do a forums search for other threads discussing it.
