Did it lock at "Send To" or once you selected something from the sub menu?

Are you using any virtual cd drive software?

Did you have an iPod, MP3 Player, Flash Drive plugged in at the same time?

(i.e. could the crash be caused by an external device at the bottom of the menu? Or just by the menu itself appearing?)

OK. I understood but I think you are offering me to do not plug in any virtual cd or ipod when i listening music with winamp. this is absolutely insignificance. I think this is a bug!. And it is hurting me nothing to do without pressing shutdown button.

No. You misunderstand me. I am trying to help you narrow down the problems. You have supplied so little information initially that I can only guess at what is going on with your PC. Whatever it is, most other people do not share your issue.

First, we need to work out what triggers your crash.

Even something simple like "what language are you running Winamp in?" could be relevant here if something has been translated wrong.

There is a thread where major bugs get dealt with. "Post All Winamp 5.581 Core Bug Reports In This Thread". This has something that could be relevant to you and you should try out.

Have a read of this bug report in the main bug list:
http://forums.winamp.com/showpost.ph...3&postcount=24

And try the DJ Egg fix:

if the udonmez has a virtual cd installed then it's the same known issue which no one on the development team has been able to reproduce directly (i use virtual cd software myself and have never been able to reproduce it) though it is most likely a conflict with drivers which unfortunately ml_disc doing a device query when opening the send-to menu causes. so it's known and that's about as far as a fix seems to be going (i don't have the means to work on fixing bugs for free now).
