Does the VBR MIN

VBR MAX

and VBR Q effect the file created?


I always though the ALT PRESETS over rode anything


is alt extreme 0 better than the default 2?

I have no evidence that what you set in Winamp is obeyed but yes, I would expect that lame obeys the settings bitrate limits.

Yes, 0 will use a higher bitrate then 2 but you won't be able to hear an improvement.
