Hotkeys that are not Global
I would like a way to customize the Hotkeys, but not have them global.
It's better to only have them take priority when the application is in focus. For example a simple setup would be Play/Pause = Spacebar Forward = Right Arrow Rewind = Left Arrow Next Track = CTRL Right Prev Track = CTRL Left I want these to work only when I select Winamp as my active application. Not when in other apps, such as games or work applications. Please create a section in the Hotkeys submenu for this in future iterations. Thanks |

It already exists. When using the Bento skin, when I click the 'Play' menu, it shows me the shortcuts. For example:
Previous: Z Play: X Pause: C Stop: V Next: B |

Currently Winamp only allows you to customize the global keys. Here is a screenshot so you better understand what I am asking for. In options, preferences there is a tab called GLOBAL HOTKEYS. It's used to customize the mapping of Winamp's functions globally. In case you don't know what global means, it means it will remain active whether the application is in focus or not. Non global hotkeys would only be actie if Winamp is the main application in focus. So if I play a game and am listening to music hitting those keys won't effect winamp since it's not the app in focus. https://www.dropbox.com/s/uh0xdsrshw...07.21.png?dl=0 |

Oh I understand the difference between global and not.
But no, there are no configurable options for non-global hotkeys. I wouldn't hold your breath either. We've been waiting a few years now for any new version since ownership of Winamp moved to Radionomy. |
