How much Software is needed to run wnamp and sam encoder on my ex laptop?

I have a gateway single processor laptop. It only holdss 512 memories of ram. Can I up grade to a dual core processor?

You won't get it running smoothly with that much RAM... I speak from experience of having a PC with those specs once upon a time. SAM Ender DSP plugin can be a bit heavy on CPU usage ( as can SAM broadcaster)

You need at least 1Gb of RAM these days to run software successfully

Best advice buy a newer machine if you're serious about it

I need a laptop to broadcast with . guess I need a more powerful one . 512 ram only and that's as much as it holds. Any suggestions on what to get?
