Still no message from support. Furthermore, my names are given and even a new name gives an error code.

When running the new 2.6 build it says at least that my authhash is correct. However the ID for YP is displayed as 0 and ads won't work.

So if I use the new Authhash in 2.5.5 , it lists my station OK, gives me an I.D. but lists my Genre as Easy Listening. Should I continue to use my old Auth Hash? Will this affect Monetization on what Authhash I use?

Questions about Authhash, premium subscriptions and anything containing/requiring personal information need to be dealt with via support (either the support@ email address or help.shoutcast.com), not the forums.

Sorry, but there's a sizeable backlog. Please bump your existing ticket if you've not received a reply.

We have identified a couple of issues with 747 and will be releasing another update shortly...

Could you pass the tickets to start.lulu@icloud.com? I've been waiting for weeks. I created a new ticket today.

Builds have now been updated

Still 747, but with a timestamp of 01-Nov-18

If already using DNAS v2.6, please upgrade again.

I hope it works. I still get error registering. Maybe I get a response from the support. I was surprised when the support responded to me.

The documentation needs updating.....

Add to sc_serv.conf

sslCertificateFile=ssl.crt
sslCertificateKeyFile=key.pem/.key

(obviously needs to refer to the correct crt/key filenames)

@NurLutix

There's some issue with freeing deactivated Radionomy station names.
The old method for freeing the names no longer seems to be working.
A ticket has been created for our engineers.
Sorry.

the ssl does not work, in addition the server with this mode only touches about six seconds and turns off

details:
add en sc_serv_basic.conf
sslCertificateFile=/usr/local/ssl.crt
sslCertificateKeyFile=/usr/local/private.key

my File ssl.crt mode:

-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
MIIEpA...
...4E4Zw==
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
MIIFa...
...y9KrIkjg=
-----END CERTIFICATE-----

-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
MIIFA...
...Hofx1l7
-----END CERTIFICATE-----

my File private.key mode:

-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
MIIE...
...FPxw==
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

NOTE: for the instability I am returning to 2.5.5, tomorrow will be another day of testing

thanks

I have now used new station names. However, I get the error Stream is currently up but is waiting on a Directory response at Fivee.FM • Your Rap.

EDIT: Done.

I'm going to make this simple.. out of all the things they should NOT make a premium feature is my ability to stream on my own servers with my own bandwidth at a setting I want.

This will end my time with Shoutcast and Winamp. I will wipe my hands clean after almost 20 years and walk away once and for all. I already set up two Icecast servers and have them both up and running on two separate boxes. I have five more to convert tonight and will have them all set up and ready to go. Then I will keep running 2.5 until they cut it off. You force me to cut my bandwidth then you have forced me to stop using and promoting your software and your player. It's not as if you are leaving me with a choice. Your YP is the only thing I use and I don't even get listeners from your site or operations. Never have.

I sure they didn't go through all this hard work to stab the broadcasters that have carried this software for all these years in the back like this. If they did ... bye bye.

2 streams with one dnas

I have two stations I am trying to stream.

One is working on the dnas as it was set up on the old rmo but I cannot get the second stream to work on dnas which was set up on new rmo. Could someone look at my code and tell me where I am going wrong, please?

I have searched so many forums but cannot find any answers. Authhash deleted for security. First stream has old 20 characters and second has new 32 characters.

Thanks to the shenanigans of DNAS 2.6, I too have now migrated over to a ‘cooler’ alternative.

I am, and would like to continue using Winamp as my stream(s) source. But, my Win 2008 R2 server does not have a sound card, which means I cannot simply move over to Edcast DSP since it doesn’t seem to work with the N.O.P. plugin.

I have tried a few other Icecast DSPs and Windows Virtual Audio Drivers to workaround the problem, with little success.

Currently, I am using the Shoutcast DSP which works with N.O.P. and the backward-compatible server. However, this config comes with restrictions.

Does anyone know of a better way to overcome this minor issue?

Never mind, I've resolved the issue myself.

I will be saying goodbye to Shoutcast in due course.

mind keeping your personal opinion to yourself please.
There are still loads and loads of people who happily stream using shoutcast so there is no need to call it names.....

if you want to vent your opinion next time make sure to make it clear that whatever you write is a personal opinion.

Yep everybody allowed that , but calling shoutcast something for dummies is rude and if he had posted a line like " i think that "in that case he got away with it.
In this case this person forgets that Shoutcast has been here for years allowing everybody a means to stream audio.
And his attitude towards those that gave us this software for free isn't very nice at all.

That sounds as if you believe it is OK to be rude as long as it is clear that a comment is an opinion. Some people call that "free speech".

nope , you can be rude in this forum part

The Bitchlist (17 Viewing)
Need a place to rant, vent, spew? Something happening within the Winamp universe you don't like? This is your place to bitch at the injustice and general unfairness of the World.

In other parts of this forum you act normal and if you want to give your opinion you simple say that "i think or i believe or it's my opinion that"
the way it was posted is rude towards those who developed the software that gave some many the means to stream on the internet.

That is merely your opinion, with no foundation in the Forum rules.
"rant, vent, spew" does not mean users are allowed to post anything they want, even if they claim it is only an opinion.
It sounds as if you believe that it is OK to make some rude comment like "my opinion is that <username> is a low-life idiotic moron" if it is posted in the Bitchlist!

Also, the Forum rules make no distinction between sub-forums.
Unacceptable posts should not become acceptable merely because of a change in location.

If it's OK to post "Shoutcast—The audio casting platform for dummies" in the Bitchlist, as you seem to say, it should be OK to post it anywhere.

This can be a legitimate way to end a discussion.
But it is only sensible after each person has attempted to defend their position.
You have not justified your apparent belief that it is OK for members to make objectionable comments in the Bitchlist sub-forum, even though the Forum rules make no such provision.

It appears that you do not want to defend your position. So be it.
