I want a car that is cheap, reliable, economical, runs on environmentally friendly fuel / renewable energy and gets me from A to B safely.

I'd like a Shelby Cobra, but I'd settle for a McLaren F1.

verbiosity on the brain...

There are several models of cars that I would kill for, unfortunately, I've yet to discover a way to correlate the act of killing a human to acquiring a car

A 1965 mustang, totally original would be nice. Or perhaps a 1957 chev, convertible. But i'd be too scared to drive it every day.

I'd settle for anything that wasnt just an average family car, a mitsubishi lancer evo 2 or 3 is what im hoping to get in the next couple of years.

The Lamborghini Murcielago. Sure... it goes for over $270,000, but damn its fine lookin, and fast, insainly fast for a production car.

Bleh. The McLaren F1 is the fastest production car in the world. And hey, it's only $1 million.

Who told you that? Cuz thats wrong. Vector Avtech is the fastest production car. McLaren's top speed is around 240mph while Vector's top speed is around 250mph.

Besides......Murcielago is drop-dead sexy.
Fav car is Murcielago ($270,000)
Picture

and Fav Truck is the new Hummer H2 (starts around $48,000).
Picture

I am trying to convince my dad to buy the Hummer H2 but apparently it's not working. "We'll have something that can actually go offroad" doesn't seem to convince him .

I've always liked the way the Dodge Intrepid looked. There are some better cars, but this is more realistic.

I've got one of those capitan (I think you mentioned wanting one in the other car thread) - it's green though, and not a T-top (T-top compromises the Z's handling somewhat). That model looks like a turbo too - mine isn't turbo, too expensive to buy and maintain.

From McLaren's site.

I couldn't find an official "Vector Avtech" site, so I can't confirm or deny your post. I seriously doubt that it is correct, though, seeing as how the one site I found with that speed you posted also had a diclaimer saying that the speed might not be accurate.

edit: Another site I found (linked to from a number of other places, including an automotive index) stated that the top speed was "190+".

190+ is the speed of Vector M12.

Here are some sites talking about Vector Avtec WX3, no officials though.

I LOVE that thing! MB's off road vehicles are excellent, but can you believe that they are trying to pass off the G class as a $100 000+ luxoboat?

I don't count non-official stats. I've seen sites that say the Vipr can run 250, but it's just not true.

I didn't see anything on the Callaway site about top speed, but I didn't look too long. I don't think that Callaway's cars count as production cars, anyway. They are modified after market.
