Error opening file for writing.

I have recently downloaded Winamp 5.35. When I was about to in the process of installing it, I got A message that said "Error opening file for writing". I then clicked Ignore, but a series of many other error messages similar to the first one popped up.

I have attached a screenshot to show you exactly what I mean.

This error usually occurs if Winamp is still running at the time.
Make sure Winamp is closed before running the installer.

Open "Task Manager" and kill any running winamp.exe processes
then try to run the installer again.

Thanks for the suggestion, but when I opened Task Manager and clicked on the processes tab, I didn't find any winamp.exe processes running.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Could we possibly see a HijackThis log?

Are you logged on to a Windows Profile with administrator rights,
or is it a limited user profile?

Ah, that's probably it. My account is limited.

I'm on a different computer at the moment, but later I will post a HijackThis log.

You'll need to install from an admin profile, and choose "separate settings per user" in the installer options.

If you can't access an admin profile, then you'll need to install to your user profile, eg. C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Winamp
