Spotify or other streaming service plugin support

I think having the ability to login to your premium spotify account to play music while utilizing all the best features from winamp sounds like a match made in heaven in my eyes.
XBMC has this feature but i think a simple lightwieght media player in a desktop enviroment could work better then going through the hassle of using XBMC

Didn´t see this thread before. Just yesterday I was talking about something like this. It would need a lot of deals to be made, and negotiations won´t be easy I imagine, but in my opinion Radionomy will try to do this with at least a couple of streaming services.
I would like to see this with Youtube and soundcloud.. imagine open Winamp and instantly being logged in into your accounts.. with your feeds just ready to be played.. sweet..

Oh yes, with SoundCloud & YouTube, and also with some other music-video-platforms, for example Mixcloud, if it has been planned, too...
I have my uploads in SoundCloud & YouTube & Mixcloud (and in all the other well-known artist-platforms), but also my favourites & playlists, and that's many music. A search for music feature for SoundCloud & YouTube & Mixcloud in Winamp would be also very good...

I use Winamp to listen to many radio stations. But it's complicated keep searching and adding the URL manually.

Something similar to tunein.com would be great.

It'd be really nice if there's a plugin for winamp to integrate various music platforms.
I also have a lot of music(favourites and uploads) stacked in Soundcloud and I often wish theres a way I can access those music directly through Winamp

I doubt it'll happen due to that fun old issue of licensing. but who can say for certain if it'll be possible or not at some point...

and looks like spotiamp has been forgotten about after its few days of hype (no sign of the dev for a few months now). though some things it did would be nice to see in Winamp proper.

I have not tried it, but open source LMS has Spotify and Deezer etc plugins, so maybe some clues there to some enterprising plugin dev.

Perhaps you should try WACUP instead.
No spotify but it does support a few common streaming sites

It should be rather easily possible this way if nothing else (re-tool the browser to use Chromium or another popular, stable, regularly updated engine, and pipe audio through Winamp, then anything that has browser support has Winamp support, just like that).
