They can see eveything they wanna see ! I didn't use one line of the webdog source, and I don't use
their site to download and update the plans. and I don't think they a copyright this "type of software" ...
Or am I wrong ? ...
What I do hope is that you guys like it ... Because I'm making it for you,
the forum people and the other Nullsoft fans.
Nulldog will make plan reading a lot easier i think...
Webdog can suck my ****

ok this maybe a dumb question. I was wondering if there is any way i can get the coding and stuff for this program. I am a learning VB guy, I have a class in school of it right now and would like to see some more complex programs. If not i totally understand. milhouse@netdirect.net

I'm afraid the idea of copyrighting a look of something is ridiculous. So what if it looks similiar. Who cares? I wouldn't

Copyright to me means I have the right to copy
which is what I do

Yes, I eagerly await Nulldog (though not as eagerly as any winamp releases...), seeing as how I can't seem to remember to check .plans that often. A program on my desktop would be good for 'em.

Made Up Word: Nulldoggy

Please don't say you're going with the basic VB program file icon... there are dozens of great artists on the bawds who would be glad to make you a nifty icon to go with nulldog

Yeah I was thinking of making a cool winampstyle interface for it ! But first I'm gonna complete the inside of Nulldog (lotz of code still needs to be written) ... Once I get that done I ready like it if you guys could help me with that interface, so if you're good with graphics, help me out ...

NULLDOG UPDATE

Well, I've just been coding for over 2 hours (finaly found some time to do that) ... I created some kickass code, but also made some nasty bugs ... But, those all should be killed by now ...

Nulldog still isn't ready for a release ... but I'm a BIG step closer to that now ...

I think i speak for everyone one when i say, who cares. i mean come on a monkey can write code with VB. I don't mean to be mean but its not like its important or useful.

*edit move the code to a real language like c or c++, no real programmer are going to submit code to a VB program. it's not even portable

You really don't know what you're talking about Lizard ! ... Ok, VB IS easy, but that doesn't make Nulldog less good. VB is simple and easy to understand, and so is Nulldog, I don't need anything more to write this app then a simple language ! So where's the problem ?!

What it means is it will be a large, slow, unportable program that no one will submit code to. I don't under stand why nulldog can't be C, then a real programmer can help you out Thor. because you seem unable to release your software on time. If you changed over to C i will port it to GTK/Unix.

get a life fuzzy_lizard! Nullsoft didnt release Wa3 on time! so deal with Nulldog being late. it aint easy programming stuff, bugs and sytax. so just deal with it and stop bitching. if you want to bitch, well we got a forum for that!

and if you are so worried about it being in C, then why dont you write it yourself!!!

Two of several points:
-Probably the reason he's not programming it in C is because he doesn't know C.
-Why would Unix users care that much about Nullsoft's .plans? So far, Nullsoft mostly just makes Windows software.

VB is a great "gateway" language. Get a firm grasp on VB then move on to bigger and better things. C++, VC++, Assembly, etc.

Contrary to popular belief, VB is a powerful language, but it can't be ported, big deal. I've seen some amazing things done with VB but it is limiting in some ways.

When you master VB, move on. That is all... heh.
