Please pay attention where you are posting. This is Winamp3 Discussion. We do have a forum for this type of subject called Games Center. I'm sure a mod will be here soon to move it.

![]() "I completed Vice City and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" ![]() The quick reload ability you get for scoring 45 at the 'range is majorly handy, especially with the RPG launcher. It's such a great game. I could waffle on about it for hours. |

Absolutly. I expect you to have gunned down at least 3 schools by the end of the week.
VC is a good game, but i think the format is geting tired now. |

From what I've played, I dig it tremendously.
I just have to get it for PC, so I can actually play the game instead of killing people on my friends TV. |

I love GTA: Vice City because you can blow some stuff up. I just hate how it is based in the 80's. All though I do enjoy the helicopters in the game. You most admit that the cars in GTA: 3 are better looking.

867-5309 is a terrible song, but it isn't on the radio in Vice City

there are more better cars in VC than in 3. "more better" actually used in a grammatically correct fashion, wow.

to my knowledge we should expect another deviation from the series such as vice city/london (online perhaps?[console]) and than part 4. or it could be part 4 that is next i am not certain.
i understand and can precieve how vice city is a better "game" than part 3 but im simply more fond of the style of 3 *omit cringes in pain as his hate for the 80's consumes him. i would like to see a sort of cover for 3. cell shaded fitting of the comic book style on the cover and in the loading screens. i think it would also make the game look much better since the polygons would not pinch and stab into each other (i.e. where the characters legs, wrist, arms, etc.. meet their body) perhaps when the contract with sony expires this will come to pass in a violent more explicit iteration on nintendo's console? |

It's a sick concept. I'm with the 'hate it' crowd. I'll do my best to keep my kids from owning such a game.

Yea I can see your point. The whole game is based on drugs and violence. It just depends if you think your kids can handle it. I use the game as a safe why to vent my anger. Yes it is entertaining to me but it can help one keep sane. What's better? To blow up a car in the game or real life? I know that my point may seem weird to you and I can under stand. I have a bad habit of making weird points.

I agree, violent video games are a great way to relieve pressure. I play them all the time (Halo, Medal of Honor, Unreal, etc, etc). I would've loved GTA as a teenager, but being 32 and a father of 3 I no longer see the funny side. For me, violence has to be justified. You can do it with a war game.
I wonder how depraved the next GTA will be??? |

The first time I played GTA3 it made me feel like a terrible person. Then I got over that and enjoyed the game.
Hmm, maybe that's a bad thing... |

Call me an ass, but I hate GTA:VC even though I have never played it.
The reason is because it's buggy as hell, and Sony made people believe that it would never be released for PC to get PS2 some good christmas sales, and then promptly released the game for PC. |

Gta2 games are awesome. Really, thy are.
I finally got GTA:VC and it kicks ass. So much more fun than GTA3 simply because the roads are more life-like, more cramped, more traffic, people, more like Florida than GTA3 was like New York, except the accents. |

I dont like GTA, the violence is just immature and pointless. Now a game like Mafia has me. It is just soo friggin awsome! I love the feel of the game (1930's depression and prohibition and the like), and the music is friggin awsome!

Cylob -
I can understand your concern about your children, but most kids with half a brain will know not to take anything in the game seriously. Well thats how I see it. If anyone is going to take these games seriously, then fair enough - they shouldn't be playing them. But if your kids can understand that it's 'just a game' or whatever - then I don't think its right to deprive them of the amount of fun these games have to offer. Probably smart to wait till there 13+ though ![]() I've been a fan of each and every GTA game since GTA1. Hmm... GTA1, GTA1:London, GTA2, GTA3, GTA3:Vice... The only thing dissapointing is that no multiplayer support is built in to the GTA3/VC games so you have to go for external mods/patches. The amount of fun I have had in my lifetime playing multiplayer GTA1 and GTA2 (which I still do...) has got to be enormous. Live on, GTA. Originally, GTA was good for anyone that liked Racing Games, and Shooting games, and hated the gameplay restrictions assciated with each. With Vice City, almost everyone is catered for. MX Bikes, harleys, street bikes, vehicles, different sets of weapons, houses to buy, property (mansions etc), clothes, races, stunt arenas, doing missions, working for drug dealers - if there was ever an "all in one game" VC sure has it covered. |

I absolutely love Vice City. The freedom of movement, the theme, the guns (RPG = Kaboom!), the awesome soundtrack (plus MP3 station for the PC version
![]() The only real problem with the game is that it's too easy to get busted. All the cop needs is to open your door or give you one good hit with his baton and it's off to the police station, which really sucks when you have a nice selection of weapons. One of my favorite missions is the golf cart mission. Ended it by sending the guy flying into a water hazard when I was chasing him on the golf carts. |

There are so many ways to do that mission, it's fantastic. I parked next to the fence and hopped over it - complete with guns. Easy.
![]() The getting busted thing is a bit annoying - like when you jump on a bike, a cop appears from nowhere and knocks you off before you've started the engine - but there are ways to avoid it. Doing a drive-by shooting, just flooring the gas if your car is fast enough, even getting out of the car. That way, you run away and wait for the cop to follow, then sprint back to the car and plant your right foot. Cylob, if your youngsters are older than about ten - and the packet rating is 18 - they'll know the difference between a video game and reality. Wouldn't worry about it. Quote:

i had this horrible feeling that when they said they were converting it to 3d that it was going to be just like driver. thankfully it wasn't as bad. when vice ciy came out i wasn't as xcited, although the helicopters and bikes are class. when the pc version came out (gta iii), it had so many bugs i just couldn't be bothered any more. GTa2 was the ultimatum, iii and vc were it's little adopted children. |
