DNAS/win64 2.2.0 and 2.2.1 crashes during startup

SHOUTcast DNAS/win64 has recently stopped working for me. I don't think I've changed anything on my system, other than installing the latest Windows updates. But now, if I use 2.2.1 or 2.2.0, it crashes during startup. I normally run it as a service, but since the service wouldn't start, I'm now trying on the command line, as administrator, just typing "sc_serv" followed by the name of my .conf file, which hasn't changed in ages and is very basic:

code:
logfile=C:\Program Files\shoutcast\logs\sc_serv.log
w3clog=C:\Program Files\shoutcast\logs\sc_w3c.log
banfile=C:\Program Files\shoutcast\control\sc_serv.ban
ripfile=C:\Program Files\shoutcast\control\sc_serv.rip
publicserver=never
password=xxx
adminpassword=xxx
songhistory=20
portbase=17778

The last messages are:
code:
INFO [MAIN] Calculated CPU count is 4 -> using all available CPUs
INFO [MAIN] Starting 4 network threads

2.0.0.29 is working just fine:
code:
msg:[MAIN] Calculated CPU count is 4
msg:[MAIN] Starting 4 network threads
msg:[MICROSERVER] Listening for connection on port 17778
msg:[MICROSERVER] Listening for connection on port 17779

How can I help debug?

replace the Winamp location with that of the DNAS in what's detailed in http://forums.winamp.com/showpost.ph...86&postcount=6

Thanks!

code:
[16:16:56] Exception: C0000005.ACCESS_VIOLATION
[16:16:56] Unhandled: C0000005.ACCESS_VIOLATION

Here's the .dmp file (zipped): https://skew.org/tmp/shout/sc_serv_131216_161656.zip

Also I must admit I'm a little befuddled by the 2.2.0 / 2.2.1 installer warning about the folder I've "choosen" [sic] not having appropriate write permissions. It suggests I could change the permissions, but I'm not sure what permissions it expects to have. I assume the logs and control folders mentioned in the .conf need to be writeable, but they already are. I could install it elsewhere, but what's wrong with C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast?

i'll look at the dump tomorrow.

the warning message is crude but is to generally prevent people putting it in the Program Files folder as on Vista and higher, you don't have write permissions by default (unless it's been purposefully disabled or UAC is disabled).

I tried the new 2.4.0 DNAS (Win64), and it is working fine for me; it doesn't crash on startup like the older versions.

rightio that's good to know (and probably relates to a number of log file handling fixes over the last 2 builds from what I could eventually figure out from the crash dump).
