Is Winamp Dead?
I've been following WinAmp off and on for a very long time and it has always been my favorite media player.
When the new developer took over I was shocked, saddened, and hopeful of the future. Yet I see nothing new happening. Serious question: Is WinAmp dead? |

Prepare to receive "It's Winamp, not WinAmp or WinAMP. Gosh!" from the Napoleon Dynamites of the Winamp world.
![]() To answer your question: *shrug* I know what you know, which is to say, not much. Consider my fingers figuratively crossed – having them literally crossed would make typing somewhat difficult. "My heart hates uggos." –J.D. |

I'm amazed that the forums are very quiet. I hope that Winamp continues and it get stronger again.
